"Trust me, I would like to be back in normal society as well. And regardless of whether the troll destroys or hands over the journal, I'll be leaving after this meeting; I'll have no further reason to stay." She continued to wait, her eyes locked on Kael's, waiting for him to make his move.

(If Zako doesn't post by ten my time (three hours, 24 hours or thereabouts since his last post here) I'm just going to assume Aegnor took the diary and handed it over so we can move on.)

Kael stared quietly at the listener before pulling out the diary from under his armor.

"Unlike most people nowadays, I don't go back on my word. Also the fact that I'm giving this to ya willingly should tell ya something about me." He said as he handed over the diary. "Now that ya have what ya wanted, it's time for ya to talk. Where is she?"

Fasha took the book and stowed it away, still keeping her eyes locked on Kael's as she stood up from the table. "You'll find Maria in a mansion five blocks south of here. It's old and easily recognizable, but should you get lost, ask for directions to the old Westham manor. A tall wrought-iron fence, a little shorter than you, encircles it. The outer walls are painted red, although the paint is partially worn away. The roof is slanted and covered by green tile. It stands two stories tall and has at least one basement level, although I'm uncertain as to if there are more. There are stained glass windows along the first floor of the west wing. The locals have always considered it haunted since a group of Sareesa's followers went to ground there and were slaughtered; doubtless your quarry is hoping the legends will keep her from being disturbed."

She produced a small iron key from her pocket and tossed it onto the table, followed by a copper-colored one. "The first one will open the gate. The second will open the front door... and that bit of help's going beyond my end of the deal. Which should tell you something about me." Fasha touched the brim of her hat, lowering it slightly in a universal gesture of parting, then walked out of the tavern. Tikan immediately pocketed the keys out of habit from being a thief.

Kael let himself have a small smile as he watched the listener leave, then turned to the others at the table.

"Well, let's get going before she moves somewhere else. No time like the present!"

Leave the pub and gather the group and brief them on our new information. Get ready to move to the mansion and prepare for a fight!

Wait until Kael gets back so we may head towards Maria's hideout.
((I'll keep my last action.))

>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

))

"Hey Mordekhai...they seem to be taking long inside, huh? What do you think we'll face if- when we meet Maria? Seems strange to find a Pirate Captain hiding out in this town." Akari said, moving up to the Crusader.

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 82:  Damn I put this off a long time.

Quote from: Caellath
Wait until Kael gets back so we may head towards Maria's hideout.

[6] You head towards the mansion, loudly making idle chit-chat after Kael comes out.  Nothing at all could possibly go wrong with this...

Quote from: Ochita
Go to the Mansion.

[1] You head towards the mansion with everyone else, accidentally knocking over a large pile of metal containers which proceed to make a loud noise which may attract who knows what kind of creature.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Go to the Mansion.

[1]  While Aegnor is busy with metal receptacles, you find a pair of bongos and begin to play them, no doubt summoning some terrible creature to your location.

Quote from: Tiruin
Go to the Mansion.

[6]  You see everyone having fun making noise so you unleash a magical barrage of loud rockets into the air.  They explode with a loud bang and a release of many tiny color fragments.  You're certainly glad you don't have to worry about anything going wrong in this area.

Quote from: Zako
Go to the Mansion.

[2]  You head to the Mansion, while you do so you sing a merry little tune about a Troll who couldn't stop worrying.  Silly Troll, doesn't he know how to relax?

Quote from: Fleur
Go to the Mansion.

[2]  The normally rather quiet Fleur seems to get quite lost in conversation with Mordekhai until she notices something out of the corner of her eye.  "What's that over there."

Quote from: Rose
Appear

[auto-success]  Everyone turns to look as Fleur points.  You see a giant roach monstrosity swarming towards but as it does, a flash of purple energy envelops the area, out of which a tall female Troll steps out.  As she does, the roach monster seems to lose it's nerve and scatters into many different parts running away.  The troll then turns around and looks at the group.  Her orange eyes speak clearly to her corruption at some point or another.  "You lot, get out of my way." she says looking impatient.  You all stand around staring at each other not knowing what to do.  "Fine, if you don't want to leave, I'll make you leave!"  She says pulling a long sword from the scabbard at her side.  It burns with magical energy fueling it's flame.  While the roaches may be gone, it looks like there's some other loose ends you need to take care of before you get to the Mansion now.

((Also everything conspired against me updating this.  Friends bought me some Warhammer 40k stuff and I FRIKKIN' LOVE IT!  I may very well do something Warhammer 40k inspired, just because it actually kinda fits nicely into the format of RTD's.  But yeah, it's distracted me for about 4 days straight >.>  <.< . And before that I had a math final coming up which I'm fairly certain I passed, so that's nice at least.  Also, holy cow, could you guys fail any harder in one turn?))

((B-bu-but...

(The Mordekhai/Nepthym/Akari triangle thing, Cael. :P)
((Which direction does the arrow travel? Tell me not, for I will learn in due time.))

"Err, Maria uses ranged weaponry. Deadly things they are...Anything to counter such things would be fine." Akari said as she stared longingly at the banner Mordekhai was holding. To be frank, he was holding it much like a banneret...Stoicly calm.

"Also, did someone say cockroaches?"

Recall what I usually do when meeting the obstacle of cockroaches and in dealing with them.
))

Akari's mouth flopped like a river koi as she stared at the lady, only now suddenly regaining her speaking chords when the sword was drawn.

DIPLOMACII!

"Actually we were justly leaving miss. No reason to show off your finest sword and all. I do like swords myself, but then we don't know where we're headed and seem quite lost. Also, a bit jubilant due to the fireworks. I bet you saw that yes?"

Aegnor still heard the clanging as the woman drew her sword. Shaking his head slightly, he moves to the side.
"I'm sorry, madam. None of us have any quarrel with each-other, and I personally don't wish bloodshed to happen."

Tikan shuts both herself and her double bongos up and assumes a meek and polite expression.

Aid with diplomacy!
