"Distinguish the true Fleur from the false one?" Mord mused, looking at Fleur. "Then I suppose this is the real one and we can ask her to use something to help us at least slightly."

He took a long and blue strip of cloth he carried in one of his pouches and showed it to Fleur.
"May I? To prevent the other one from tricking us."

Edited action with extra thing.

Akari looked at the others with a confused expression before addressing Fleur directly.

"Hey Fleur, are you real?"

Zealots and Demons, Turn 78:  Y'all Need to Stick Together

Quote from: Tiruin
Imbue that Orb on my bracelet with potential energy for later on - probably as a light source!

[6]  You try to store some energy in your Bracelet but just as you finish, it winks out of existence.  You'd forgotten how much havoc wild magic can play on it's more controlled counterparts.  You realize you appear to have been left behind be roughly have the group.  Fiddlesticks!

Quote from: Caellath
Follow team, but stay out of any shady negotiations they have with the followers of the God of Knowledge. Add: Tie a strip of blue cloth to Fleur's right wrist if allowed.

[6]  No, you refuse to follow these associates, these acolytes to the God of Knowledge.  You refuse to follow them to a life of debauchery and shady deals!

Quote from: Ochita
As the party travels to the tavern, think over what importance the diary could have.

[2] You don't know, you don't even remember reading it really.  Maybe it tells where Denholm chopped up bodies and hid them as part of his murder collection!  A part of you registers that you're falling behind, but it's not really important, you have Mordekhai and Akari here to keep you company.

Quote from: Zako
((implied)  GO TO 'DAT TAVERN!

[3]  You travel to the tavern, you note that a large portion of the group appears to be content with being left behind... Namely everyone but you, Fleur and Tikan

Quote from: lawastooshort
Follow Mr. Troll Man (autoed)

[4]  You follow Mr. Troll Man straight to the tavern!  So efficient!

Quote from: Fleur
Answer previous questions, go to the tavern
Quote
"Well~ I was smelling you just to know your scent...It's a...thing I have."

"Hey Fleur, are you real?"

"But... I do not smell." Fleur says exasperated, but realizing getting angry wouldn't do anything so just glumly accepting her fate of being smelled by the strange woman.  "Well, of course I am real.  As for 'ze duplicate, I don't recall running into any'zing, so I am not sure what it could be."

[4] Fleur arrives at the Tavern.  "... Where did everyone go.  It seems you all continually break-up.  We should seek a remedy for 'zat somehow."

"Maybe we should tie them together... It would look odd but it would work..."

Hang out and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

Present Day, Outside of Zal'thur, Capital of the Avinian Empire

The mage swordsmen continued their trek across the plains.  Train services being cut off was highly unusual within the Empire and merited both the mage swordsmen and a squad of riflemen to investigate.  If it was just technical difficulties, word would have been sent by now, or it would have been fixed on-site.  No, a problem with the train services could only mean two things, either one of them requiring extreme force; some faction had decided to hire saboteurs and was trying to cut of Zal'thur from it's outlying lands, or some large creature was prowling around looking for trouble.  "So, what do you guys think is going on?  Personally, my bet is on saboteurs, there's just not enough destruction out here like when we had to deal with the group of ghosts, or the Giant Tarantula.  No markings anywhere, no corpses, no anything out here, it just screams sabotage. said the first mage swordsman, the younger of the two, though only by five years.  He had grey hair with blacked tips and green eyes.  He carried two swords, one on his left hip and the other on his left shoulder.  On his right side there was a revolver in a shoulder holster and a travel pack at his waist.

"What's this, actually paying attention to your surroundings.  You keep this up and I might actually have to consider you my equal." the other swordsman joked.  He was around thirty with bright orange hair and a soft, kind face that didn't seem to fit his profession.  He also carried his swords on his left side, he seemed to be lacking any kind of ranged weapon, though he to carried a travel pack at his waist.  "To be honest though, I doubt saboteurs.  The crown has been very secure recently, and our traditional enemies are divided against themselves.  Don't rule out the possibility of this threat originating from the air either."

"You always have paid attention to politics, haven't you?  You'd probably know if something were happening before our Empress." he joked back before going silent.  The riflemen didn't speak up during this time, they knew their place was not to interrupt the mage swordsmen with thoughts, but rather to do precisely as they ordered and not to question their word.  The riflemen were dressed in light green designed to blend in with the plains and farmland all around.  They all had their rifles strapped to their backs on the right side of the backpack they all carried.  Hunting duty was mostly boring walking around and waiting until you found something so there was no sense in carrying the rifle at the ready all the time, you would just be tiring yourself out before the crucial moment.

They continued the hunt for another hour.  "It's nearly noon, we should stop and get some food. the kind-faced mage swordsman announced as everyone quickly got a fire set up and began cooking a quick meal.

"Hey, don't take this too personal or anything, but I'm glad you're the one that got assigned with me Hodges." the silver-haired man announced quietly.  "Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it feels different this time.  I'm glad it's somebody I know will watch my back."

"I understand, it does seem tense outside of Zal'thur lately, like the final moments of peace before battle.  We can't let any of that distract us though, we need to stay focused.  All that matters is right here, right now." said Hodges trying to ease the tension obviously felt by the other.

Hang out at bar, buy a non-alcoholic drink, ask the barman what's been going on recently. Any news?

Zealots and Demons, Turn 79:  Return of the False Fleur

Quote from: Caellath
Go to tavern.

[4]  You relent in your hatred of shady dealings and alcoholic beverages enough to follow the group to the tavern.

Quote from: Zako
Hang out and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

"Yes, or perhaps you all can hold hands?" Fleur adds.  You have to admit, it wouldn't be a bad plan, although it would make you look more like school children than a group of warriors. [2]  You really don't see anything that suspicious around.  Just a normal day in an area as warped as this.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Hang out at bar, buy a non-alcoholic drink, ask the barman what's been going on recently. Any news?

[2] You walk into the tavern but there aren't any seats open and the waiting staff is so busy they don't really have time to get you anything.  Everyone seems to be discussing something but their are so many conversations going on at once, you can't single out just one conversation.

Quote from: Ochita
Get to the tavern.

[1] You hear a faint whisper in your ear and your blood runs cold.  "Hello lover."  [6v6] You roll forward just as the false Fleur attempts to stab you in the back with a dagger.  "A lively one.  You will make excellent food once I catch you."

Quote from: Tiruin
(Auto) Get to the Tavern.

[5]  You arrive at the tavern fulling intact.  It looks like almost everyone is here.  You don't see Aegnor, but you're sure he'll be along any moment now.

Quote from: Fleur
Remember information about shape-shifting creatures in the area and convey it to Kael.

[5] Fleur stands back taking the moment to think a bit.  "You know... there 'ave been reports in ze area about roaches.  Sentient collections of roaches.  It sounds crazy, does it not, but zere are some who zink zese roaches can wield magic in order to get close to their target without raising suspicion.

((RUN OCHITA!  FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, RUN!!  Also mechanics explanation, Each attack rather than dealing damage kills a variable number of roaches.  Magical attacks are most effective, attacks with guns are the least.  Either way you'll probably have to prepare some kind giant squishing mechanism if you want to kill False Fleur.  Or take a really long time to do it.  Once she's down to 500 health she's effectively dead as the roaches lose sentience.))

((Weren't we close to Aegnor? Neither of us saw the scene?))

Mordekhai arrives to the tavern just to notice the elven healer isn't with them.
"I wonder what's keeping Aegnor back there. Maybe he's still lost in thought, like I was...I'll wait outside the tavern, just in case there is another angry mob or he just happens to take longer to snap out of it and come."

Wait for Aegnor outside the tavern.

Aegnor rolled forward, feeling the icy cold cobbles hit his shoulder even though his thick robe, coming back up with mud on his robes.

"Well then, hello there Fleur! I didn't know that you suddenly became evil, but honestly.. I think we sho--"

Aegnor then attempted to high-tail it out of there, right then.
