It's not over 500k yet, so it's not a done deal.  Also, once it's over 500k, people can't reneg back below 500k.

Almost there, $53,000 to go!

I've also heard rumor that there is a $10,000 backer in the wings ready to plonk down the big bucks if it gets close enough.

Within the 3% overfunded range, that is the average for (successful) Kickstarter projects.
(When you fail, you fail big and when you succeed, you do so only barely; getting 2, 5, 10 times the asked for amount is rare)

Yes, it is.

I'm still not sure how the whole MM aspect comes together yet, as we've only seen views inside a mission (where it's just a handful of people).

This looks pretty cool. I can see it going badly, but if it doesn't it will be a pretty awesome game...

So much negativity in this community lately!
Not every game sucks.
Not every Kickstarter is a scam or doomed to fail.
You get precisely 0 points for being able to say "I told you so".

Seriously, not picking on you specifically Matz, but people want to rush to say a game will fail, or a company will screw us over in the hopes of being right later on. For what? What sort of realistic credibility are the haters hoping for? To be fair, you will probably be right 60-65% of the time, but it won't matter because all of the well balanced people will tune you out.
Once again, nothing personal Matz, you just happened to be the one who most recently did that.

I'm so glad I did kick start this!

I don't think it will fail at all the company and the company who are doing shadowrun returns are working with the father company who made the RPG ( atleast I'm sure all 3 are working togeather ) so I expect nothing more than excellent and canon shadowrun.

I'm so glad this has been kick started and can't wait to play, although I'm very very happy they decided to do a campaign server where there is none of this free play shit so it's basically the guild wars style for it and you pay for expansions, so happy.

When do I get my closed beta?!

SRR and SRO are "working together" in the same sense that Douglas Adams and Isaac Asimov worked together to write books: they talked about their work and borrowed ideas, but never collaborated directly on the material.

SRR and SRO are separate, but the two teams are friendly with each other, so there will likely be some exchange of ideas, but they're not operating under the same umbrella.

I was trying to be positive. I just thought that the first scentence was too little to bump a topic for.

I think the general confusion is due to the fact that SRR, SRO, and the SR RPG are all housed at http://www.shadowrun.com/

Yes.  Which is more a consequence of "wanting an official forum for SR stuff" and then sharing the umbrella.
