Combat report:
After many battles and heavy elven losses, Commander Grek leads his only two remaining squads of spear elves riding on unicorn-back in a wedge straight through the huge undead army. The elves drive a path to the front gate of Sormander's tower and ascend the several thousand steps straight to the top where Sormander is reciting incantations and performing rituals desperately trying to conjure more forces. He turns around just in time to see Commander Grek, covered in blood, walking slowly towards Sormander. The necromancer gulps and steps cautiously backwards until he is at the edge of the tower, at this point the hordes of zombies reach the top level of the tower and the few spearelves are desperately trying to hold them back. Grek thrusts his spear at Sormander, who uses telekinetic magic to stop the spear in the air, and throws it off the side of the tower. Sormander no longer looks worried and has a huge grin on his face as he takes a step towards Grek with his hand outstretched, ready to give the elf a blast of deadly magical energy. Grek struggles to move, but is bound in place by a magic curse. Suddenly, from the moshpit of doom near the entrance to the roof, an elf spearman catches sight of the necromancer and charges towards him. Just as the wizard unleashes a huge bolt of force into Grek and sends him flying off the edge of the tower, the young elf soldier tackles him and both go sailing off of the tower, falling several hundred stories before colliding with the masses of bodies on the ground. The few remaining elves, now instilled with a tremendous morale boost and extreme rage from witnessing the death of their leader, go into almost dwarf-like martial trances and rip the undead apart until the soldiers all collapse with fatigue. The soldiers searched the battlefield around the tower for three days before they finally discovered the bodies of the two war heroes and the necromancer. One of the soldiers kicked the wizard's body in a fit of rage, and a beautiful gleaming rock fell out of its robes. All the soldiers gathered around and stared at the artifact in awe.
