Goings on:
The keepers of the Sword of Time walk across the ocean, sand forming under their feet as they do so. In front of them, they see the Kraken with it's uncountable number of massive tentacles waving around. The sword-bearer runs at the beast confidently, but as the water turns to sand by the power of the sword, the Kraken turns it back to water with its own artifact. However, it seems to take all of the Krakens energy to undo the work of the sword, and the elves are able to swim up to the beast and plunge their swords into its eyes while it concentrates. The beast's corpse turns to sand as does the ocean it dwelt in. The pearl sits atop the newly formed ocean of sand.
The elves continue to collapse the dwarves' elaborate tunnels and halls, killing all in their path. A huge force of dwarven peasants rise up to defend their motherland, swarming the elven invaders, killing them and their unicorns, and seizing their iron spears. The dwarf king leads this resistance, fighting more ferociously and viscous than any of his subjects, kicking, punching, and biting the elves to death. At the end of the battle, the king kicks a dying elf spearman in the head, and takes her spear. He raises it high above his head and shouts a battle cry before plunging it into the elf and charging forward onto the rest of the lost dwarven land, covered in bleeding wounds with his gold crown askew and dented. The dwarves were used and betrayed for their Mithril, and now they shall seek vengeance against those elvish traitors.
