22nd Hematite
More migrants. This is a report of the current population:

I drafted a few immigrants in the militia. Also, I made our warlord iron armor, his lamellar leather will go to our second melee orc, a ronin.
I'm starting to do some exploratory mining. Nothing interesting happens.

25th Hematite
The factory has been completed!

Malachite

Severals blinding sand clouds have drifted nearby, without hurting anything. It appears that they come only during summer.

Also, an Orc is taken by a fey mood (he's not named).

18th Malachite

The artifact has been completed! Sungastun, a leather padded leggings.
It will make fine armor for the best of our archers.

I also ordered some beds to be built. To have more, I demanded a Stonecutter's (or should I say Stonecutta's workshop) to be created.
I noticed that there's gold on the other side of the mountain. Let's dig!

Alright guys. Let's kill every single WAAAAAAARGH leprechaun on the map.

Anyway, I told my farmers to plant some trees as we've got a bunch of acorns. The treefarm will be next to the entrace, protected by walls and with a green glass roof.
I'm sorry if this update is short but right now, nothing really happened.

I decided to build the military barracks. They'll be on top of the depot. Of course, the archers will also be able to shoot from above the entrance. The hall of the deads will be on top of the barracks as the orc society is built on war. And also to haul bodies quickly, but shush, that's a secret!
Do you have any suggestions on the location of the Heroes Memorial?

13th Galena

A goblin caravan has arrived. They didn't send an ambush, but our military is strong anyway.
I'm also going to build a Freelancer's guild. Can be useful.

21st Galena

A cloud of blinking sand has drifted nearby.
Finally some action! Our spearman Ber ran into a kobold thief, and he's got a great hunter's mithril spear! Finally some FUN!
He ran fast but Ber catch him and...

But Ber stands up and charges!
And we get another kobold, but he's in front of our warchief, fully clad in iron armor!
But he doesn't move. Right. Anyway, Ber slashed the kobold in the torso and the severed parts sailed off in an arc.

And Usbu, another soldier, quickly comes back and stabs him in the head.

And we butcher the corpses.

And so ends summer, and I'm very, very tired, it's 4 a.m and I played for four hours straight. I hope you enjoyed these updates, see you later today for the next update.

Mithril jitte? Da fuck? That's like, the worst use of mythril ever >.>. Stupid elves. Also, we need arrows, not bolts. Batch cast at a slag pit if possible, since we can make syndrome arrows at the fletchers shop, who may in retrospect be the one to make arrow batches.


EDIT: Also, I see why he is using the pommel bash- 250 area at 4000 force is better than 20:200

I know, don't worry, I didn't make any bolts, we just got some from the first gobbos I got. I still have one season, I'll try to make some arrows for the next overseer and finish the barracks and the archery range.

Well, the title of the plugin is "Orc Fortress" but our language here is like Warhammer 40K's Orks so... I don't know.

6th Limestone (yes I know, in fact it's still autumn, I just noticed)

We seized some food, three pieces of leather and some steel from the goblin caravan. I hope they'll hate us, their meat tastes good.
The barracks are nearly completed and the archery range is ready. Here is a schematic of both:

That's interesting. I told our mason to make rock beds, and he made three of them from green glass blocks. I didn't know this could happen.

20th Limestone
Some orcs say that there's a dangerous beast in the caverns. Our elders describe it like that:

Thankfully, it won't be able to get in as we didn't pierce the caverns.
We also placed more weapon traps at the entrance while our squads begin their training. Hopefully we'll have a fully functional military in a couple of years.
Also, one of our orcs, Usbu Matoebung created a couple of masterful beds.

28th Limestone

The construction of the freelancer's guild has began. It is located next to the barracks.

7th Sandstone

Meh. Squee throws a party. Lazy orc.
Oh, and a cloud of blinking sand has drifted nearby. We aren't frightened by these things, but still, I hope these clouds won't get in the fortress.

10th Sandstone

We spotted a coyote woman! Sound the alarm, at arms my brothers, blood for the blood god!
It ran away. Too bad. I'll station the archers near the entrance so they'll get some training.

Why the hell is he pursuing a centaur? Alright, don't station, I don't want them to be killed already.

23rd Sandstone

A thief managed to get in the furnaces room. How is that even possible?

Also, our archers are having great fun mutilating those poor buzzards. It is flying limbs!

27th Sandstone

Asno Sokroxnako, an archer, is taken by a fey mood.
He claimed a Craftsorc's workshop.
Also, our archers are slaughtering the buzzards! They hit them in fly, and then they die because of the fall. That's great. A single arrow can make their torso fly.

28th Sandstone
Asno has began the construction of the artifact!

Unfortunaly, one of our archers charged a centaur, and is getting his bones crushed. Another centaur passed right in the weapon traps, and is heavily wounded; a raccoon is killing him too.
Alright, this is time to build a hospital.

I hoped that I could finish my turn without any deaths, but IT'S DWARF FORTRESS. WAAAARGH.
Anyway, we'll have to build a coffin.

WAAAARGH! A dwarven siege! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

Five hammerdwarves, a giant bat and a speardwarf. HAMMERDWARVES. Too easy. I hope.
