I know What you're thinking. "Is he holding a hand gun or a hand grenade?" Well, to tell the truth, I don't really know myself. But this being a 3D printer Liberator, the most unreliable handgun in the world, and it would blow one of our heads clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

New industry: Making guns that explode when fired, perfect reverse defense. Leave plastic guns everywhere in house and hope thieves attempt to fire one at you.

It's from borderlands. Each gun company in the game has their unique abilities, and one of them has you throw the guns as grenades when you run out of ammo.

Haha, I love how some people are so terrified of these stupid drone aircraft. Now they are imagining these horrible autonomous, mind-reading killing machines just being summoned from the ether in endless numbers. Good stuff.

Wait, give me a moment.

Oh lord that's funny (mostly because it's true...).

I need to send this to some libertarian groups.

EDIT: Comments are mixture of regular nuts, spanning Republicans whining about the Economy to foreigners urging Americans to shoot their congressman and/or denouncing it as bullshit from the Fourth Reich. A significant Section on China, with racists on both the US and Chinese sides denouncing each other and their respective countries as inherently inferior. A few Iranians going "Go Iran!", being clearly late to the party. One guy dreaming of the day he can print his own house. A number of incitements to violence from all factions, from the Libertarians (saying shooting into a crowd on the off chance of killing a Drone pilot) to Chinese/Iranian nationalists to European Rightists. 4 Conspiracy theories, on topics as wide as the obvious (false flags!!!!) to less obvious (They will read our minds), and some sad liberals denouncing it as more war, with fantasies/nightmares of endless forever wars, most likely with robots.

Standard...

You know, I hate to be That Guy (oh hell, who am I kidding)... We've already got wars going constantly, it'd be silly not to consider the impact 3D printing would have on conflict.

In particular I've been wondering for a while about the potential for abuse that reactionware (automated chemical production equipment created away from standard, closely watched sources, and requiring little to no chemistry know-how) could be put to use for. What happens when synthesizing a safely-contained nerve-gas canister becomes a weekend project? I mean, yeah, there are certain reactions dealing with high pressures, high/low temperatures, vacuum chambers, and CVD that might never be feasible at this scale, but I think there are scarier things than guns and drones if you want to worry about this.

If anything, I feel the threat of chemical terrorism is going down, not up. You used to be able to step in a drugstore and buy pretty much any chemical you wanted to. Not anymore.

As for 3D drones... Well, it seems some guys decided to put two buzzwords together to grab some attention. It's not coming any time soon, although I can see 3D printers on aircraft carrier for stuff like spare part, if we get efficient ones that can use metal.
