"I tell ya. They might call them crab, but they don't taste like crab."

I know a citizen says that in episode one, I think somewhere in a hideout. I'd trust him.

Dwarven sugar- and syrup-making processes likely remove the mushroomy taste.

I bet they still taste like mushroom. Why do they think they call them dwarven sugar? It's so that they can keep track of it vs. normal sugar.

One thing I'd want to try in real life is pond grabber slow smoked on a fungiwood plank.

Darn. Unless we can genetically modify them! Elfcows, anyone? But seriously, what other types of meat are there? I'm hankering for a slab of dragon myself. Probably a bit spicy though.
Is an Elfcow sentient? Dwarf kosher is non sentient only.

Elves eat sentient beings like us with not a care in the world, so why should we?

Not sure about the elfcow - but really, I can't pass up the opportunity for elf veal.

You people and eating dragon, you should be ashamed, the dragon is a noble creature worthy of respect.

...Elf tastes a lot like turkey, Beak dogs taste like chicken, gnomes oddly taste like frog legs, plump helmets taste like purple(no not grape, 'purple'.  Why do you think dwarves are so f-ed up?), and Dwarves taste like hair and typically cause intoxication equivalent to a keg of low quality rum.

Too stringy to consider. Maybe if we vrioled it, but you'll have to see about that; I'm too busy with my shank of elf. And Greiger, I eat dragons to show them respect and gain their strength. After all, would you rather have the noble dragon be honored by his killer, or left for the carrion? Dragons are baws, is what I'm saying.

Hmm.  Sounds kinda like an elf.   But I suppose the logic is sound.  Carry on.

P.S. I am told kobolds taste 'bite sized'.

Goblin would probably taste very putrid, like it was rotten. It would also probably stink up the whole place as you cooked it. Would not recommend.

Confirmed by their guts being described as 'stinking' when you spill them.

Lets face it chap: We do quite a lot of fighting amongst ourselves. It's not like they haven't gotten a chance to scavenge the kills.

Yep. Exactly why I made the assumption.
I'd expect floating guts to be very easy to prepare, as they're just organs lodged in a blob of slime. Just wash off the goop (or not, if you like that kind of stuff) and cook it as you'd like.
