WHat Antivirus do you use?

So, the norton that came with the computer is going to run out in a week, what antivirus, free or otherwise, do you reccomend?

I usually install AVGFree or ClamWin, do a check, then remove it every few months.

I don't like it harassing me for updates all the time.  I don't download much dubious software anyway.

I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials, on the recommendation of other users here (I asked a similar question a few months back). No complaints so far :)

I have McAfee, but I'm basically just putting off dumping it until I have the time and spare cash on internet-usable format to buy the full version of Malwarebytes; I'm already using the free version for my scans.

One of these days someone is going to create a Linux-compatible virus, and then all the smug unprotected Linux users will know pain. It happened to the Mac hipsters, it will happen to them too.

I'm fairly certain there have been plenty of linux viruses out there. I just don't know of any particularly successful ones.

My software updater is always bugging me about "security updates" and I don't think that's just for a generic hacker threat. Loopholes exist, we just need someone interested in exploiting them.

As long as you don't use Norton of McAfee you should be okay with any other anti-virus. Generally though, the best anti-virus you can get is good common sense.
