My militia commander had one arm and one leg. Defended my fort singlehandedly from hundreds of zombies..... with his teeth! The fort died when i accidently flooded my farm level with magma.

Needless to say he reanimated, which made reclaiming difficult to say the least.

"It turns out we only amputated the parts of him that were holding him back."
The Giant bat hacks the urist in the right lower arm with his shortsword, the severed part sails off

i have no idea how bats can use weapons

That is a fine giant bat. I can draw giant bats.
you didnt draw my report  :'(
Give me a break, it's only 8:30 and I've been up for 3 hours.

I think a separate thread with badly-drawn pics of your vacation report is in order :D

Aso, I think your animals are adorable, especially the cat and the cavy. The giant bat, too!

THE CHILLING TALE OF THE MYSTERIOUS AMERICAN KID
In the pool, this little kid kept screaming at me. His parents were from Washington (I saw their plate). So I started spouting French-isms at him and my little brother jumped in and said "That's my brother. He's from Quebec.". Then the kid thought I was the coolest thing ever. Small children are mysterious.

Probably needed a bit of dwarven childcare.

It was awhile ago so no screncap, but I do remember the fight (paraphrased):

The Hammerdwarf bites the Thrips woman in the left foot, breaking the skin and bruising the muscle!
The Hammerdwarf latches on firmly!
The Hammerdwarf shakes the Thrips woman vigorously by the left foot, and the part breaks off!
The Hammerdwarf keeps his hold on the severed part.

So, basically, hammerdworf ignored ignored his hammer and promptly bit a Thrips woman on the foot, at which point he shook his head vigorously and ripped it off, and he proceeded to carry it around in his mouth.  (There were no injuries or other obstacles to using his hammer, he just bit down and went for it.)

Sometimes it's for simplicity and speed's sake something like a beard is left off.

I mostly figured the Beard was assumed to be there.  Like skin, or a nose or something.

THE CHILLING TALE OF THE BEARS
We were walking down the road and saw these bears. We then turned around.

Step 1) Cage traps!
Step 2) War bears!
Step 3) ??? GODDAMNED WARBEARS!

Also that story was tense, horrifying, dramatic.  I recommend nomination for the Pulitzer.

I see your Dwarves are still beardless.

Keep in mind that he is badly drawing our reports.  Beards are negotiable based on quality.

I don't understand, though that is about right with anything DF related.
I just hope he dies the same death that all dwarfs deserve: liver disease.

But missing out the beards of Dwarves is like missing out a head or a leg for the sake of simplicity.

again we refer to the word badly
And when making pictures I've cut out limbs or heads when it worked for me.

Enough fellow dorfs... And funny talking bread, we shall henceforth assume the beards are there, but merely left off for time and comedy's sake, because beards make thier facial expressions difficult to fully comprehend.

I just had a Forgotten Beast made of steam show up in the caverns. My dwarves dispatched it rather easily of course, but then decided they should dump the leftover piles of steam on the surface. They had no problem with that, which confuses me, but I'm sure you can figure out how it looks...

Children you rescue shouldn't behave like rabid beasts.  I guess your regular companions shouldn't act like rabid beasts either.
I think that's a little more impossible than I'm likely to have time for.
