I badly draw your reports!
« on: August 07, 2012, 11:48:49 pm »

I'm bored, so here we go!
  • Post Fortress Mode report.
  • If I deem it worthy I badly draw it.
  • Repeat for fun and profit.
Please only post somewhat notable reports, I don't want to draw a ranger shooting a rabbit in the leg repeatedly.

Another note: I'm not drawing badly on purpose. I'm just not A Gifted Artiste.

FURTHER EDIT: If you want to use any of this stuff for whatever reason then go ahead, it's not like it took hours of work to draw :P

Also, if you want to download stuff from this thread, I have arranged every ten pages' worth of drawings into one easy download each:
The First Ten Pages of Badness!
The Next Ten Pages of Badness! ◄ Includes bonus bad wallpapers!
Some More Pages of Badness! ◄ Includes a real full-sized wallpaper that people seemed to like!
Oh No, Not Ten More Pages of Badness!
So Much More Badness

Those of you who don't like the idea of five downloads can now download the first fifty pages at once!
50 Pages of Bad ◄ Includes a secret! What could it be?

The Troll charges at The Stray Hen!
The Troll attacks The Stray Hen but She jumps away!
The Stray Hen counterstrikes!
The Stray Hen bites The Troll in the right hand from the side, denting the skin and bruising the muscle!
The Stray Hen latches on firmly!
The Troll slams into an obstacle!

The amount of malice in this thread is actually causing me some concern. I mean, chaining up mothers and forcing them to breed, just so we can drown their children to harvest their organs? Does this strike no one else as absolutely horrific?
You misspelled 'hilarious'

There's a few good ones i  the facepalm thread that I wouldn't mind seeing drawn, like one with a kitten going for a troll by the head and throat, or one with one dwarf chasing another one to fill up the barrel the second one is carrying.

There's safe. Then there's unsafe. And then there's the average dwarf fort, which remains unrated because the OSHA inspector flatly refused to go anywhere within a dozen miles of the place.

The Stray turkey gobbler bites the Goblin lasher in the head, tearing the skin!
The Stray turkey gobbler latches on firmly!
The Goblin lasher gives in to pain.
The Stray turkey gobbler shakes the Goblin lasher around by the head, tearing the skin! x10

Ooh, and another epic dodge:

The Giant badger has become enraged!
The Giant badger charges at the farmer!
The Giant badger attacks the Farmer but She jumps away!
The Giant badger slams into an obstacle!
The Giant badger has become unconscious.
The Giant badger is no longer enraged.
The Giant badger wakes up.

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

I never saved the report but there was quite a brief one where an archer shot at a goblin, hit him in the groin and the severed part flew off in an arc. I assume the gobbo ran off at that point because that was the end of the report!

Does it count? (i.e. a nude dwarf with a pick in one hand and a barrel of ale in the other, covered in demons' blood)

These two should be drawn as a single image if they're drawn at all.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Notable: These dwarves had never been in the military.  Strictly civilian, yet they both initiated hostilities instead of just reacting to them.  I was pretty sure civvies weren't ever supposed to be the ones to start fights, excluding tantrum/berserk status or hunters hunting.

Interesting: These events happened at the same time to two different keas about 4 tiles apart.  The group of keas they belonged to had just arrived and had not stolen anything, harassed civilians or caused any other kind of trouble.  These two guys just went apeshit for no apparent reason.  Maybe they'd heard stories...

Listen up: making a thing a ‼thing‼ doesn't make it more awesome or extreme.  It simply indicates the thing is on fire.  Get it right or look like a silly poser.

It's useful to keep a ‼torch‼ handy.

Honestly, that would be my first reaction, too.
One too many "Kea has stolen ☼steel battle axe☼!" → "How in the hell can it even carry that?! ASDFGH *Sus has gone berserk!* "

Ooh ooh

Could you please "capture the moment" for me?

1) Goblin Ambush meets Militia
2) Lots of blood on both sides
3) Goblins eventually flee onto a frozen pond, and dwarves follow
4) 5-minute lockup as the game processes water thawing...
