Hisir Namedene

Hisir counts 24 inmates who claim they're willing to join him should he help them escape; roughly half of the inmates currently held in this particular hall. The rest are probably either too wary of the Chosen One, or too fearful of facing further punishment from the law to take him up on his offer.

The Moderator(s)

"I see. However, would it not be possible for you to simply provide instructions on how to make these vests to our specialists, so that they could attempt it themselves? We really can't think of any reason why it would be necessary for you to personally go about the task of creating this remarkable gear for us."

"Well, there is a little trick that can't be... explained. Remember, this was gleaned from unknown alloys. Completely different from Earth-based construction."

Try to kick the doors of these who want to follow, but look out they don't just run out. If this doesn't work, pull the doors out with the chains of your halberd.

Sir Havel the Unyielding

With the arrival of night, a beam of moonlight descends from the sky and shines down onto an open spot not far from the Chosen One. Just like before, the beam grows in intensity once Sir Havel enters it, and soon, he is overcome by a sensation of total weightless.
As requested, the knight of stone is taken to the lunar shrine hidden within the dense jungles of Peru's Loreto region. And while he is certainly not ready to lose hope so easily, the sight he is met with after only a short look around is not a promising one...

Standing just outside the sacred structure, the Chosen One can see that it has become overgrown with the wild vegetation of the land, as a result of what must have been years of utter neglect. The large stone blocks it is constructed out of have become weathered and uneven. But perhaps most unsettling of all, there doesn't appear to be any signs of activity in or around the shrine whatsoever, from the monks or otherwise...

Jorn Darkmane

With the land now illumined by the warm morning sunlight, Jorn and his boggart at last arrive at the quiet settlement known as Hopkins.

The Moderator(s)

"Ah, how convenient for you. One moment, please." The voice goes silent for while. The Chosen One can only assume that the time is being used to thoroughly discuss whether or not he should be allowed to leave the room.

"Very well. We will send some men to escort you to the appropriate department shortly. But first, we would like to know what resources an how much time the creation of one of these vests will take."

Hisir Namedene

After the Chosen One's repeated attempts to get the cell doors open by kicking them end in failure, he takes a second to rethink his strategy, and decides that if he is unable kick the doors in, he will simply have to tear them off!

With the chains of his halberd wrapped tightly around the bars of one of the cell doors, Hisir exerts a great amount of strength as he pulls unrelentingly at the door for nearly five whole minutes. Slowly mustering up more and more force as he grows increasingly frustrated, Hisir suddenly falls back as the door gives in to the stress and breaks away from the rest of the cell, before crashing loudly onto the prison floor.
The Chosen One is able to successfully repeat this extraordinary feat four more times, freeing a total of five (very grateful) inmates. Unfortunately, before he is able to release any more of the prisoners, Hisir hears Shade's ferocious growling and barking echo throughout the building, alerting his master to the fact that something troubling is going on outside.

Estimated time passed: 25 minutes.

17:30 remain.

"You five, see if you can open these door with a lever of some sort."
Go outside and see what is going on.

(I would think a while; you're going across the Earth, after all.
Ironically I'm asking the same question - did you see TorZon's action?)

Find the entrance to the shrine and head inside.

(Note, I might be absent for awhile due to low bandwidth.)

Send the boggart out to gather supplies. Look for a newspaper.

[So how long till 'I' arrive at the location?]

Technically, you haven't even finished pooling together all the mana needed to summon your dragon and armor yet, which is going to take a bit even with the red mana bonus you have. Once that's out of the way though, a trip from lower California to British Columbia on dragonback, with the Balefire Dragon travelling at a speed that would easily make it one of the single fastest creatures on the planet, will have an expected flight time of about 10-12 hours.

(I would think a while; you're going across the Earth, after all.
Ironically I'm asking the same question - did you see TorZon's action?)

Sure did. TorZon should be finished assimilating the woman, eating through each cold chamber, and absorbing any corpses it finds by 14:00.

I really need to think up a way of letting you guys know when your actions are still in progress, and not simply overlooked/forgotten. I suppose I could just include something like "[insert Chosen One name here] continues with his plans..." but that seems like it would get pretty repetitive...

Hisir Namedene

The inmates stand there looking somewhat puzzled as Hisir leaves the hall to check out what has gotten his ShadowHound so riled up.

Once outside, Hisir ensures that all seven guards are still compliantly on the ground. He then walks around to the other side of the building, and finds Shade barking through the fence at the roughly half-dozen police vehicles that have just pulled into the prison driveway. Someone in the prison must have called for backup from the outside. Damn...

The Moderator(s)

"That can be arranged. Please just keep in mind that if you are caught attempting to leave your work area for any unauthorized reason, or attempting to use any equipment or materials other than those that have been specifically set out for you, you will be incapacitated and placed in a maximum security detainment cell without question."

Several minutes later, a pair of soldiers enter the room, remove The Moderator from his restraints, and lead him out the door...

Sir Havel the Unyielding

Pushing through the overgrown flora obstructing the doorway, Sir Havel enters the shrine...

A little exploration reveals that the shrine's interior is much bigger than an outside view would lead one to believe. Then again, it could just be the fact that the shrine has been completely cleaned out that makes it feel more spacious. It would seem that the monks either thoroughly packed up and left, or the shrine was discovered by some highly efficient looters.

Throughout the entire shrine, not a single trace of human life can be found. Just when the Chosen One begins to feel certain that there is nothing left to be gathered from this apparently forgotten place of worship, he hears something that forces him to reconsider that notion. That something being a voice.
Though much too faint for the Chosen One to discern its exact words, it sounds almost as if it is praying. Even stranger, although the voice is definitely coming from somewhere in the area, that 'somewhere' doesn't sound like it is anywhere within the shrine, but rather, beneath it.

Jorn Darkmane
((Noted. I'll try to make sure that Jorn isn't thrown into any situations that require immediate action for a while))

Not wanting to waste a single second of time that could be spent scouring the town, the boggart scampers off excitedly to fulfill his master's wishes. Meanwhile, Jorn takes a casual stroll through the settlement, and before long, spots an uncollected newspaper laying in the driveway of a nondescript household. Lucky him.

Estimated time passed: 10 minutes.

17:20 remain.

You could instead have:
"[insert Chosen One name here] has finished [insert action]..."
"[insert Chosen One name here] is [% done] with [insert action]..."

What Zan said, but only do it for the beginning of the action the next turn, ie: TorZon finishes assimillating the corpse and looks to the cold boxes. This could take a while...
Or: Zanzetkuken begins to pool mana for the dragon, though it will take a while.
