Hisir Namedene

((Could've been worse. In fact, you had the chance to be surrounded by up to twelve guards, so I guess lady luck hasn't totally abandoned you.))

For some weird reason, the guards don't seem very willing to simply walk off and leave the Chosen One be so that he may infiltrate their prison in peace. Hisir calls for his loyal ShadowHound, but knows that it will take him a little while to reach the location. Keeping his short sword drawn, he forces the guards to remain at a distance, lest they find out firsthand just how deadly the Chosen One can be with it. With his other hand, he grabs hold of his halberd and preforms a wide sweeping attack, with the blade's chain extended just enough to avoid lopping the guards' feet off.
While three of the guards jump back in time to avoid the attack, the other four are not as quick, and as a result have their legs knocked out from under them by the amazing force behind it.

With the majority of guards down for at least a couple of seconds, Hisir hastily turns around and slams his foot into the doors of the residential building, in an attempt to get them open using no more than brute force. The strength of the kick is powerful enough to almost completely shatter the windows on each of the doors, yet not enough to bust whatever form of lock is keeping them shut. Bugger...

Hoping to end the situation with as little blood spilled as possible, one of the guards cautiously takes a step forward. He tells Hisir to calm down, before asking him what his reason for coming to the prison is.

Hisir Namedene

Hisir considers simply entering the building through the shattered door windows, and concludes that it would be a fantastic idea...if it weren't for the sturdy metal bars across the frame that are likely meant to stop people from doing just that.

Hisir Namedene

Painfully aware of how inferiorly-armed they are against the Chosen One, the guards reluctantly comply with his orders and lie down on the floor, while Hisir begins to hack relentlessly at the sturdy metal bars blocking his path.

Hisir makes good progress with a couple well-placed strikes from his halberd. When suddenly, despite being primarily focused on breaking his way into the residential building, the Chosen One immediately senses one of the guards attempting a surprise attack by charging at him when his back is turned...how very dishonorable.

The Moderator(s)

The Moderator wakes up to a man from the medical department attentively shining a small flashlight into his eye. A quick glance around reveals there to be several other individuals from the medical department standing by as well. Observing him abruptly falling unconscious in his chair must have been a tad worrying to his captors.

Once he assures the members of the medical staff that he is fully awake and healthy, the Chosen One goes on to ask if he could be permitted to make something that he believes will be of interest to the people of Black Maple.
After a bit of waiting, a voice responds through the speaker; "That depends almost entirely on what it is exactly you plan to make."

"You fool!!"
Hit him somewhere that will not kill him but not to hard( in the foot or something) and see if any guard has a key.
If not, keep an eye on them but keep cutting at hte bars

Hisir Namedene

With impressive timing, Hisir spins around and whacks the charging guard in the lower leg with the shaft of his halberd. While unlikely to cause any serious injury, it was more than enough to knock the guard off balance and send him tumbling awkwardly into the Chosen One, which unsurprisingly isn't nearly as effective as a solid tackle.
Hisir steps on his attacker to prevent him from rising back up to his feet. He then looks to the others, and demands that a key to the doors be handed over to him at once. The guards briefly look around at each other, before one of them takes a small key from their belt and tosses it over to the Chosen One.

A moment later, Shade finally arrives on the scene (perhaps a bit late) to aid his master. The guards stare at the ShadowHound with an understandable mix of fear and curiosity.

Hisir Namedene

Hisir picks up the small key, unlocks the doors, and heads inside.
Shortly after entering the building, the Chosen One is able to confirm that it is indeed the housing area for the inmates when he makes his way into a wide, two-story hall lined with prison cells. The inmates remain quiet for the most part, though the Chosen One does catch a few puzzled stares from them as he walks by.

Irritatingly, only after attempting to release one of the prisoners from their bleak and lonely confinement does Hisir find out that the key used to open the front doors of the building is not the same key used to unlock the doors of the prison cells.

The Moderator(s)

"That sounds like a splendid offer. But I must ask, why is it that you're so suddenly willing to create this futuristic equipment for us, when only a short time ago you appeared to have to have serious reservations about giving up the technology you currently have? Not to offend, but such behavior seems more than a little suspicious..."

Estimated time passed: 5 minutes.

17:55 remain.
