I suppose something as basic as that wouldn't be much of a stretch. Sure.

TorZon asks the little person, still in gaseous form, "You ... know ... way ... out?" If he replies in the affirmative, he answers, "Go ... there." S/h/it then follows. If not, TorZon rushes down the thing's opening and into it's lungs, then absorbs the corpse once dead of suffocation.

Look directly into the boy's eyes. Sometimes, you can't save everyone, no matter how you try. I've learnt that lesson the hard way many years ago.
Turn your head skyward and ask Lunus to take all three of us to her shrine on this world (unless any of them don't want to come with, hopefully I've made it a point that they probably won't see this town ever again), hopefully the monks there have not wavered in their devotion to the true Goddess. We should get moving.

Jorn frowns slightly. Would you believe me if I told you I was sent here by a mystical being with little more then the clothes on my back to participate in some trial? I'm here in this forest because I angered a shopkeeper.

On foot? Yes. My general rule of thumb is that, when walking, Chosen Ones travel at a speed of 4-5 MPH. Hisir has a good amount of distance to cover, and since he lacks any other mode of transportation, it's likely gonna take him a while.

Anyway, was tied up with various Halloween-related activities today; will work on an update once I awaken.

TorZon The EverShifting

The being responds to TorZon's inquiry with a series of loud, unintelligible noises, making it clear that its linguistic abilities are right on par with Chosen One's. Which is to say, almost nonexistent. Because of this, the Chosen One's attempt at engaging in verbal communication with it ultimately proves to be futile.

Seeing no other use for the creature, TorZon travels down its throat, rapidly filling its lungs and rendering it incapable of breathing. After a short time of panicked flailing, the creature gradually becomes more sluggish, before its brain finally shuts down from lack of oxygen. As TorZon gets to work on absorbing the now lifeless mass of organic matter, it begins to hear footsteps approaching the room it is currently residing in. From the sounds of it, the creature that the footsteps belong to is much bigger than the one he just suffocated...

The Moderator(s)

"Once you've willingly handed all of it over to us, yes. It has already been agreed upon that your wholehearted acceptance of our offer would alone be enough for us to regard you as a trustworthy individual. After that, not only would you be allowed to leave your room, but the overall quality of your life would increase dramatically, and remain that way for the entirety of the foreseeable future. Money, pleasure, influence...almost anything you could possibly desire, and all it would take is your unwavering cooperation. We're really not sure how we could make our offer any more appealing to you, which is why we decided to accept your compromise."

Other-Moderator
The Moderator is led to a large, spacious room. It houses a helipad with a helicopter that looks like it's used mainly for transportation, but not much else. Idling by the helicopter are eight individuals, three of which are wearing lab coats. The rest are soldiers, equipped in a similar fashion to the ones who abducted him not all that long ago. The man he was escorted by places a hand on his shoulder and motions over to them. "They've been authorized to kill you if they notice you acting in a manner that could in any way be considered 'suspicious behavior'. Don't do anything stupid."

The man exits the room along with the four guards, just as another man emerges from the helicopter and walks up to The Moderator. "Nice to meet you. I'll be your pilot for the duration of this little adventure. Apparently I'm supposed to ask you where we'll be heading off to."

Sir Havel the Unyielding

Shortly after speaking his request to Lunus, a bright beam of moonlight shines down before the Chosen One through the clouded night sky. Having faith in whatever plans his deity holds in store, Sir Havel walks into the beam, followed hesitantly by the two boys. The light around them grows more and more intense, to the point that they become unable to see anything outside of it. Moments later, a feeling of weightlessness washes over the trio...

Once the light begins to fade, Sir Havel and the boys find themselves on a lush, forested mountainside, standing in front of a small cave entrance.

Jorn Darkmane

"Bah, that's what you get for tangling with entities you have no control over. These days, everyone and their grandmother treats interaction with otherworldly forces like some sort of amusing little party game! 'Oh, let's go disturb the vengeful, restless spirits in that old, abandoned house!', 'Let's get out the Ouija board and open up a portal to the lower planes in our living room!' Then they have the nerve to get upset when their relatives start speaking in tongues and blood begins to leak from their walls..." Waving his cane around, the man continues on with his rant about the naivety and recklessness of young people in this day and age.

Estimated time passed: 5 minutes.

21:40 remain.

Since you're not that far away from your original location (not far enough to make any major difference in time, at least), dawn will still break at around 18:00. So a few more hours.

TorZon will continue to absorb the corpse, but keep it's appearance, Thing-style. Play dead and hope it leaves, but if it tries to cause harm, flee. If it carries us off, continue to play dead and stealthily observe where it's taking us via the growth of tiny eyes on parts of the body not likely to get noticed.

Search the mouth of the cave to ensure the shrine's sanctity is preserved, and then proceed into the cave with the boys in tow to greet the monks that have kept it for eternity. Explain to the boys about your deity while you walk, and see if you can't summon them a pair of Lunar Talismans while you're at it to grant them Her attention.

TorZon The EverShifting

TorZon hides itself within the lifeless creature, and begins to stealthily absorb it from the inside out while maintaining its visage to avoid detection by the approaching being.
Upon entering the room, the larger creature lets out a horrified shriek, and runs over to pick up the fallen entity. Another large, similar creature enters the room as the first one attempts to revive the Chosen One's victim. Realizing that its efforts are in vain, it holds tightly onto the corpse as it wails uncontrollably.

The distressed creatures talk back and forth to each other, before gently wrapping the corpse in a soft fabric. Although unable to see what's going on, the Chosen One can feel itself being carried through the maze of rooms, and is careful not to make any noticeable movements while the sobbing creature continues to keep a firm hold on it. Soon, TorZon feels the creature abruptly stop walking and sit down. Moments later, a loud rumbling is heard, and despite the fact that being holding it remains stationary, the Chosen One gets the sensation that it is once again on the move.

Sir Havel the Unyielding

The knight of stone finds no evidence near the cave entrance that would suggest the shrine has been desecrated in any way.
Ducking down, the Chosen One leads the boys into the entrance, and through the dark, cramped tunnels that sprawl throughout the mountain, all while enlightening them about the rich histories and wondrous ways of the Moon Goddess. He fails to bring forth a pair of Lunar Talismans for them like he had wanted, but shouldn't feel too down about it; summoning up mystical items on a whim is a difficult task for those untrained in such a practice, after all.
Eventually, Sir Havel and the boys reach the more open sections of the caves, which are illuminated by simple wall-mounted candles, and come across a room that looks to be of great importance; at the other side of the room, masterfully crafted from the finest of moonstones, stands a grand statue of Lunus. The statue is accompanied by a small, decorated stone altar, which sits directly before it.

The boys stand speechless as they gaze upon the magnificent statue, still locked in a state of disbelief from everything they've experienced since meeting the knight of stone.
"Beautiful, is it not?" A soft voice suddenly speaks out from behind the trio. Turning around, the Chosen One's companions jump back when they immediately come face-to-face with a very old looking man. Dressed in white robes, and a variety of simple yet sacred moonstone jewelry, he smiles warmly as he bows his head in greeting.

Jorn Darkmane

The man scoffs. "If the predicament you claim to be in is true, then must not have opened them wide enough. Now begone from this place, before you bring your troubles upon me as well. And be sure to take your boggart with you."

Glancing up into the trees, Jorn can see that his boggart has apparently taken a break from keeping a lookout, in order to sneak up on a small bird perched happily in its nest.
