OOC: Hero clones would be interesting to deal with. What would happen if you met yourself?

*shudders*  If you knew how my character finally died, you would know that this would be a bad thing.

Interesting. Will you tell us this riveting tale sometime?

He immediately begins to beavergoat the man quite thoroughly! At the very beginning, the man is mystified by James' actions, but his face quickly becomes a mask of horror when the procedure starts!

"OH GODS WHY? WHYYY?"

After a twenty minute session, the man is left white as a sheet, hairless and completely and utterly dead. James congratulates himself on a job well done!

Interesting. Will you tell us this riveting tale sometime?

It took a bit of wading through the "If bay forum were a mountain hall, continued..." thread to find it, but here it is:

Zanzetkuken stood over the body of the master of Fire, and looked over to see Water and Air approaching.  Air was freed with a quick slash, and Earth had been slain by Water.  Fire was difficult and had to be put down, because the mana wouldn't purify him like the rest.  Zanzetkuken turned to leave, just as the masters of Water and Air were launched out of the doors with the bodies of Fire and Earth, and the doors baracaded themselves behind them.  Zanzetkuken spun, sword raised to see shadows condensing to form what looked like himself.  What was different was that the other him was completely black, except for the eyes which glowed red.

"Ever thought of how the Phyrexis got here?" spoke the dark him.  "Of course you have, and contributed it to Phyrexian portals, but I caused it."

"Who are you?"

"I am you," said the other Zanzetkuken.  "Though, from the opposite side of the multiverse, where all realities are changed.  I absorbed the power of Clockwork Hugo, Yawgmoth, and
Oliolli and dominated them all.  Now, I plan to send the ultimate form of phyrexis to create a perfect multiverse"

"Not if I can help it," said Zanzetkuken as he stuck forth at the dark him, his blade clashing with his dark self.

"What you fail to realize," said Dark Zanzetkuken.  "Is that the plan is already active."

The Zanzetkukens clashed on the mountaintop for what seemed like years.  The dark Zanzetkuken was slowly, incrementally gaining the upperhand.  The normal one realized this as they locked blades, again.  He (regular) could see no way out where he would secure victory.  He clashed with his dark self a few more times before they broke off, and he saw what needed to be done.  He moved forward, seemingly going to lock blades with his dark self, but instead, he sheathed his sword, dodged under the dark blade, grabbed onto the Dark Zanzetkuken, and threw them both off the mountain.  After the shock wore off, the Dark Zanzetkuken tried to save himself, but Zanzetkuken (regular) stabbed him (dark) with his blade.  They had reached the mountain falls at that point and fell towards the multitude of rocks made of sharp obsidian when the Dark Zanzetkuken finally died of the wound inflicted by the blade.  Zanzetkuken mentally recorded a few messages on some blank crystals within the room of the Slashdiver where Hugo and Corai learned of the phyrexians, namely, a message to the general and his last will.  With that, a peace came over him as he fell into the rocks below.

Very interesting; nice work. And so... we wait.

If anyone here hasn't read You are Me, please do so. It's an excellent way to pass the time and prepare.

In the case of running into your past self, I assume add a lot more fun. On one hand, having another you could be very beneficial to your goals. On the other, getting your past self killed would lead to you ceasing to exist. Who knows, if it ever happens, I may even let the player control both versions of themselves.

Very interesting; nice work. And so... we wait.

I'm just waiting for the remaining two of the five starting Chosen Ones to confirm they still want to continue after getting a better idea of what the trial holds in store. I knew I had been being vague about it, so I wanted to avoid throwing someone into it if it turned out not to be something they'd be interested in.

Who is going for Unification?

If ruling an an Evil Empire counts as unification...although honestly I'm not sure yet.

I already have a Unification plan... If I have to stop you, so be it...

I have a feeling destroying humanity will be easier, but that would be against my character's morals.

That being said; how many humans have to be left for unification to be achieved?

Same here. At last the AC/10 has some small targets to hit.

technically speaking, I suppose victory by unification would be possible as long as there was still a single living human being left on the Earth.

That's not really fair, though. If one of the unification people squirrels away a few humans, and then the destroyer kills everyone else, they inavertedly give victory to their enemy.

I know I am.

I would say that unification should be 1000 people, minimum.  Can't have it be too easy.
