You reach the county of Dash pretty quickly using your horse on plains, as you approach the small castle built with stone and surrounded by a small water river. The guards let you inside and you ride through the local population inside the castle, noticing that there is much more live in here than in your own, where there is only you. The Knight living here calls you to his great halls.

That's completely different. We are a VERY minor knight who only has a castle and a small village. Duke William the Conqueror, on the other hand, owned all of Normandy, had a valid claim to the English Throne,(See 11th Century English Succession Crisis, Death of King Edward the Confessor)had a large army, and caught the Saxons in a tactical position from which he was able to quickly take England. We, on the other hand, live in a relatively peaceful country with barely any allies, and are plotting against a king-favored member of the Court.
