Any tips on Lucid Dreaming?

I've heard some interesting things(and scary things from sleep paralysis) about lucid dreaming, so I figured I should try it. I read this article on lucid dreaming. I'll get started on 'training' myself for lucid dreaming, but I'm kinda asking:
  • Does anyone have any tips on triggering lucid dreams
  • Does anyone have any tips about actually being in the state of lucid dreaming, as in what to avoid and such.
Any suggestions/comments/whatever are appreciated :)
