The comments are just as bad. It's just "Multiculturalism is a failed experiment, look at France and England!" and "As a proud Missourian, I condemn the Muslim bias in CNN. I am a proud Christian and see nothing about the 3 churches that have been torched to the ground. We Christians are a discriminated minority in a land of Muslims and A-rabs. Also the president is a Kenyan Muslim."

Reading internet news article comments sometimes makes me want to go find the writer and throttle them to death while yelling at them about how stupid they are.

Well, to be fair a lot of the militant atheist "religion sucks screw religious people it's their fault that people die i'm not hateful don't you judge me" comments are just as awful. Comments on news should just be disabled in general because it always ends in a pissing contest.

Haven't there been studies on people who read the entire article vs just the title before making an opinion? Most people just read the title and assume the rest.

Hell I do that sometimes, though I'll read the article if I want to make any specific points rather than generalized soapboxing.

Acknowleding that you're doing something bad doesn't make it any less so. In fact, it makes it a little worse, since people know you know what you're doing.
