Lon adjusted his monocle; whether for dramatic effect or force of habit was beyond anyone's guess.

"Simplicity itself, good ser Vis. A local noblewoman asked us to clear out this little den of inequity. Apparently they had been causing trouble for some time, and as we had already done her a favor we were the most available option."

He gave the feral human an inquisitive glance. "I don't believe I ever met someone who used their own claws as a weapon before. You aren't from around here, are you?"

Vis smiled slightly.

"I'm from..." He gestured in north's general vicinity. "Over there. Sorry if I'm a little vague, but that's the most accurate estimate I have. Nice monocle, by the way."

The feral turned to where William was patching up Tugg.

"Is she going to be all right? She didn't look in very good shape back there."

"Who, Tuggery? She's a tough girl, make no mistake about it. Thanks to Nouzu's quick rescue and Ser William's skill, she should be fine with a little rest. If only Kevin would wake up from his nap, he'd have her patched in a jiffy!"

He chuckled a little, but it sounded forced. Several of his companions had come very close to dying today, and he himself was not without injury. These orcs were tough buggers indeed.

He shook aside those thoughts and unslung his lute, plucking a few test notes.

"Well, while we wait...any requests?"

Kathryn nodded to Lon.

"Why not 'Hell-Bound and Heart-Bound'? It's suitable for the setting.' She said.

The song was, of course, about 14 brave adventurers who died one by one in a horrible cave.

It was not a terribly popular song.

"I was about to suggest that one about a young lad who accidentally steps into a brothel whilst slightly inebriated due to a dubious love potion." Navarre said, grinning.

"But I guess that's also acceptable."

((NEVAR! But here's a compromise))

"I don't think I know that one, Navarre," he said, lying smoothly. "My shows tend to be geared so that even children can enjoy them. However, Hell-and-Heart-Bound is a classic."

And so he performed the tragi-comedy about a dwarf who descended into the mines to prove his love to an elf, but never returned. A gnome in love with the dwarf went in to search, followed by a halfling, then a werewolf, and so on as they all met increasingly improbable ends. Finally, the dwarf emerged from the mine, unharmed, after meeting and marrying a kobold who was much prettier than the elf he originally wanted to woo.

((You did better than me. "____ performs a medium-length ballad." I did write up terribly bad lyrics later, but I tried that first.))

Kathryn applauded Lon's lyrics. She really did enjoy the absurdity of it all.

"I was about to suggest that one about a young lad who accidentally steps into a brothel whilst slightly inebriated due to a dubious love potion." Navarre said, grinning.

After, she turned to Navarre.

"I do remember that one."

Kathryn smiled-she play rhymed one of the couplets for Navarre, taking his hands in her own, and mock-dancing in place.

♫He met Sisters Blunt, and Sisters Slack. Twins for the front, Twins for the back...♫

Oh, it got worse.

"I always liked that song." the swashbuckler comments, whistling the dirty but slightly popular song Kat had started.

Obviously, he just didn't mention it was created a couple of years ago and based on an adventure of his own after a woman he knew tried to enthrall him with a cheap love potion. The results were...not exactly what she expected.

Level up time

Kathryn rises to Level 3!

LEVEL-UP ADJUSTMENTS
Leveling in Battle Sorcerer [3]
Gained +1 Fort, +1 Ref (now at +1/+1)
Gained +1 Bab (New Total +2)
1d8+2 HP
3 Skill points (1 into Concentration, 1 into Intimidate, 1 unspent [1 in pool])
Gained a Feat: Power Attack
+1 Spell Slot Lv. 1
Learned New Lv.1 Spell: Enlarge Person

Kathryns training after her encounter with the strange undead beast focused on power-striking harder and striking faster. Her blade skills, she realized, also needed serious work...

Her style of two-hand blade lent itself naturally to powerful blows, and Kathryn quickly picked upon the universal technique with little difficulty. She honed her mind, body and reflexes better than they were before.

After some mostly hilarious mishaps, Kathryn would add the Enlarge Person spell to her repertoire. It was risky, but she was willing to try it out and see how it worked...

@Bane: You could save it, but there's no reason to. If you want, just take Improved Initiative for an example, then do a feat retraining when and if you want to change it. You can freely retrain up to one feat per level, as per GM decision.
