I just got the chance to play this with a mate today and I must say, this game is quite the thing.

So without further ado.

What is Guns of Icarus Online:

Guns of Icarus Online is a team-based multiplayer online airship combat game. Captain or serve as crew aboard an airship with your friends and fly into battle against other ships in a steam/dieselpunk-inspired, post-apocalyptic world. Each player takes on one of the three roles aboard the ship—Captain, Gunner, or Engineer—and must work together to take down enemies and keep the ship flying. The game is all about teamwork, tactics, and fast-paced action.

Basically you are all crew of a rinkydink steampunk flying balloon and you blast other similar balloons out of the air. It's all in first person, and everyone is running around as humans, looking at this battle as humans. It can get very intense, especially when explosions start rocking off everyone's blindside. Captains bellowing orders, gunners shouting for better angles, engineers scampering around trying to keep the ship afloat.

Spider0804 has been one of my closest online friends for the better part of my life; needless to say, I got a key pretty easily because of it.

This game is looking pretty good, can't wait to try it out.

Did I mention this game is really fun? Because it really is.

Here's some in-game screenshots I took while I ran around trying to fix up the ship.

Pilot's view from a... triangle shaped ship... I can't remember what it's called but it has two frontal cannons for charging the enemy head on.

People no, sadly. But the airships definitely.

I think the predecessor is called Guns of Icarus. But it was very different from this or so I hear.

Hmm. I remember playing a mod for some shooter that was similar to this.

Except I think the skins were from the american revolution.

He's being sarcastic if you didn't notice, it literally took me less than an hour to get a beta key. Regarding the game so far this is pretty fun, got to pilot an airship and it was definitely entertaining. Not a whole lot of people playing unfortunately, so it's hard to find a game to play in.
