Turn 8: Kung FuEAT THE MUSHROOM.
[2] vs [4] You fail to get a good grip! Curse this vaguely roundish fiend!
[4] vs [4] The mushroom surges forward, but you surge back with it.
Punch confidence out of Kobolds! Along with blood! Punch out ALL OF THEIR BLOOD.
Being forces to choose, you decide to punch out ALL OF THEIR BLOOD.
[3] vs [6] Your halfhearted swing is met with a series of elaborate backflips.
[1-1] vs [5] It then counters by dashing forward, ending in front of you, but too far to actually attack. You respond by sidestepping where its attack would have been had it started its charge a bit closer.
+1 Physipunch
+2 DodgingStab kobolds!
[2] vs [5] You flail. The kobold jumps aside and eyes you warily.
[6] vs [1] Before rushing you. You stand there, stupified, as it rams a short blade to the hilt in your gut. You both fall into a pile, though obviously the kobold has a better time of that.
-5 HP
+5 Toughness(Do mean fellow Player Characters? Cause I don't want to fight any of them)
If not Proceed beatdown.
If so Find NPC victims.
It seems these fellow peasants are indeed fellow PCs, whatever that means. Look, the point is they have souls and its wrong to hurt them, whereas these other guys don't and that's perfectly fine. It's religion!
Anyway, you wander off to find kobold NPC victims. Unlike the noble peasants they're fighting, killing them is totally cool, so you do so.
[4] vs [5] Well you try to. Apparently having a soul is not a requisite for being a good dodger.
+1 Martial ArtsOh my, I forgot I was in this!
Dude, I like your gm'ing style! Nice!
Head into the pit room and arm myself with a torch. Check down each corridor for stuff.
You grab a torch off the wall and peer into each corridor, learning nothing. Damn, seems you'll have to actually enter one to figure out what's in there.
Except the rooms with the kobolds and the mushroom, of course; the sounds make it fairly obvious that things are fighting in those.
Sneak up on kobold comandos and shank them.
Assign 10XP from bone weapon making to wooden weapon making, 10XP from clothier to clothier, and 10XP to (cloth) armor repair.
You gain Wood Weapon Crafting 1! You gain Cloth Armor Crafting 1, repair apparently being the same skill as crafting. You have no xp left in Clothier to shift into itself, however.
[6] vs [4] You are the shadow on the walls. You are the breeze in the night air. You are clinging to the underside of the ceiling and your grip is faltering.
[3+1] vs [1] Your dagger slams into a kobold's shoulder, but between the shiv's lack of shankiness and the kobold's last-minute twitching, you don't do much damage.
1 dmg dealtpunch the kobold in the face.
[1] vs [3] You trip while the kobold stumbles back a bit.
[2] vs [1] It then stumbles forward and steps on your head. It hurts.
