indeed, pepsi is the only soft drink I'll take. Cola is for hipsters.
Pepsi is a type of cola, you goof. Cola is a flavor, not a brand. :P

Edit: So, I'm having some rum'n'coke tonight. I think I deserve it.

Martial arts, baby!

I'm thinking about taking up with a Grand Master of Hap Ki Do. I don't know why we have a Grand Master here in this shitty little town, but we do.

Maybe he's looking for the chosen one.
You'll get into wacky hijinks and adventure, dojo challenges and strange but supposedly meaningful treachings; ultimately culiminating in finding the one you love and rescuing her from the heart of an evil corporation bent on world domination.

I have a fun idea: get a popsicle maker! Pop doesn't freeze well (tested), but juice/lemonade/etc. does, so you could use that instead. And they take longer to eat than it takes to drink the same amount of fluid, so you can slow down your intake this way too. Well, it's just an idea :P

indeed, pepsi and suchlike sodas doesn't freeze well. At all.
All the water tends to freeze and all the additives get forced out into a slush on top.

Which you can then drink with a straw

I don't like caffeinated beverages either - the sodas always leave this scunge coating on my teeth. I like ginger ale though.

Forgot to jot this down: I had a Mountain Dew yesterday with lunch. I thought, "Well, one won't kill me." Got no buzz, no crash, no nothing. Felt like absolute balls when I woke up this morning and it took me a couple of hours before I was really cognizant.

I ran out of diet code red over the weekend and made it 24 hours without caffeine.

Sunday afternoon I drove to the gas station in my pajamas and headache and got myself a 2 liter of non-diet mountain dew.

I felt great on monday. And now I am going to try to have a sweetened soda when I wake up every day and limit myself to 1 diet drink the rest of the day. I don't know if it will help if I get some actual calories before lunch, but it didn't seem to hurt.

The first couple days without really suck, but after you make it through the initial hellscape, it's all uphill.

Hey, I hope this isn't beating a dead horse here, but I have a pretty viable solution.
Rather than move away from caffeine due to the sugary drinks they are found in, you should try using caffeine powder.
It's pure caffeine, and you can put it in ANYTHING. I seriously have had caffeinated Top-Ramen.
If you use it correctly, in small amounts, you can get your fix, and without worrying about weight gain due to sugar intake!

I personally buy from purebulk.com

They are generally the cheapest for stuff like that!
Good luck to you, and stay energized!  ;D

I allow myself a little every now and then, mostly when I'm out to eat. The biggest problem is that I was using it as a crutch.

If you're still going, I fully recommend you don't quit cold turkey. I did that and it was horrible, my head was hurting constantly, I was angry at everything, my hands were shaky and I was having nightmares all the time, which just made me angrier. It was awful, doable, but awful.
