But then I won't be able to solve previously intractable problems and gain IQ points with recreational drugs!
Hate to break this to you, but this isn't a TV show, no matter how much TV tells you it is. :-\

You know, one of the things I hated about House is that he overdoses on drugs and gets superpowers as a result. Which was less than inspired on the writer's part, if you ask me.

I have for the 3rd straight day in a row, cut my caffeine intake.

1 coffee, 1 code red, 1 tea.

Like a boss.

The bad news is that code red were on sale yesterday, so I have a trunk full of 12packs. That was probably a bad idea even though I saved a lot of money over the normal price.

you'd have saved even more if you hadn't bought them at all...

So, then, limit yourself to one a day. Then one every couple days. Then only when you have the headache. Then not at all.

I haven't started any addictions yet. Quick, which drug is most likely to expand my mind and make me a better person?

o.O
No drug will make you a better person.

Is it an addiction if I abstain for two weeks so that I can binge for full effect whenever I have two consecutive days off?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

In that case, Meth will bring you to well below average quickly.

Goomba is joking, I hope.

But yeah, in all seriousness. I recently saw one of my former friends from highschool. Intelligent guy, got on the ice/meth.

Now he looks terribly aged and his intellect has sharply diminished. It doesn't age your body, just your face. Hollowed cheeks, pitted teeth and sallow, reddened eyes.

I didn't take a long look at this thread but...

WTF? Do you guys have enough space left to drink water after all these sodas and shit? :o

This reminds me of a movie called Idiocracy where people, after years of drinking nothing more than energy drinks, forget that water is actually drinkable.

Besides, multiple gallons soda add multiple thousands of kcal that are practically useless for your body. Your insuline level remains on a constant high level and you risk diabetes.

Nope. I pretty much just drank Dew and Monster, with the occasional rum'n'coke.

Have to admit, though, I'm really considering going back on the caf for the holiday season. Mostly so I don't murderize anyone.

Well, you should. It sounds really unhealthy... Says the guy who spent the whole Summer with more than two beers each day.

I only drink cola while eating and I only drink tea and coffee if someone makes me some. No, I'm not that lazy. I just don't usually think "I should drink something different" by myself. I also hate how energy drinks taste (unless mixing it with vodka is an option)

Maybe you can just... drink water until there is no space left for sodas? I never had an addiction like that but thinking logically, if you had enough water than you need you wouldn't want to drink anything right?
