Other than the PS1 years I'm not really old enough to have nostalgia over things.
You make me feel horribly old. ;_;

Okay I lied, someone in my house just picked up and put together the turbografix 16 and I started playing SINISTRON.

I find that I get nostalgic over things I never experienced - I miss the whole period between the 50s and the 80s.

Me too. I belong back when telephones where still hardwired and everybody hitchhiked.

Wait, how old are you? I was a kid at the tail end of that period (the 90s).

Yeah, but if you don't remember playing it new (or from a long time ago), you don't really have nostalgia. Final Fantasy (yes, the first one) make me misty-eyed, because it's the first game I ever bought with my own money. I bought it from a Kay-Bee toy store, in early 1991.

Ah, yes, the good ol' days of Mavis Beacon. Between the almighty typist kicking my ass for not being good enough, and the Oregon Trail kicking my ass for not being smart, tough, and dysentery-proof enough, many tears were shed.

If you've never programmed in ZZT-OOP you're not a programmer who has actually lived.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Don't tell anyone that you can see their shadows. If they hear you telling anyone, if you let them know that you know of them, they will get you.

I don't have enough beard to code in that.
