Zynga probably shot themselves in the foot here, as that document is entirely convincing and based on ground reasons. check out the skin customization color palette: Zynga just out right copied the exact same RGB values.
Damn it, zynga, you had 16,000,000 colors to choose from and you copied the exact ones that The Sims social use?

Now i don't really care too much about EA (however, say what you want, the Sims is a good IP), but this could prove to benefit future smaller companies that get stepped on by the zynga bulldog.

There's a saying in arab: "Kul kalb biegh el yum" (or something like that, my arab is extremely weak), in free translation: all dogs get what they deserve one day. i can't imagine a better phrase than this to describe the whole situation.

Pretty much this. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between "blatantly copying" and "it's a good idea." Duplicating the exact same eight RGB values is probably not one of those times.

And yes, they have something of a record of being thieves. Did that Farmville thing ever get sorted out?

I hate EA with a passion, but even I must admit that Zynga really pushed their luck on this one.

I'm actually rooting for EA on this one, hoping they spank Zynga so hard they won't try this crap again. In the past they pulled this kind of crap before, only then on the "smaller" devs/indies out there that couldn't afford protecting their IP.

Zynga now chose to /poke a dragon with a stick, I hope they get devoured.

I'd say that EA gets my relative sympathy here. I hate Zynga more than activision and EA combined, and that's saying something, since Activision killed rhythm games.

Well, we don't win if EA loses. Zynga can't countersue on this. We lose if EA loses because the status quo can continue, which is bad news.

Sometimes, the best things to come out of AAA game studios are the lawsuits. This is one of those occasions.

I'm with the early majority here in hoping to see Zynga get burned. Though I must say, this is the most entertainment Zynga has ever provided the world.

Pretty much this. There's alot to hate in both, but atleast EA aren't thieves.

Yep. I stopped having pretty much sympathy for EASY (EA by extension, the F2P department) a while ago, but I find that Zygna seems to be more money hungry than EA in this respect.
