Huh. Kickstarter in 2013 though.
I have to admit I'm interested, but it sounds (at least in theory) a lot like that EVE Online game that I can't play due to not wanting to pay monthly. Still, I honestly hope both of these games get released, though I ain't holding my metaphorical breath.

All I know is I've been keeping an eye on it for years, and they very rarely release any new information. I suppose lumping it in with Thrive is a little unfair though.

OK, I'm curious now, what exactly was the terrible truth? (I found something about how this project was split off from another project that went nowhere, but that wasn't that terrible in my opinion)

Yeah, it's been pretty much verified. They have only one or two programmers who aren't dedicated enough for this job, and everyone else is just sharing their wet dream, basically.
