You could do with setting your Device up as well. You'll be able to physic more with it than without, since if you have a focus than it should be easier to use physics to hit something. It needs a name, and two forms to change between. One if for attacking and the other is for being easy to carry.

Edit: also, note for later: You can have more than one type of magic, but you need to learn them.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Get ye magenta-colored explosion! :P

Also, if we're going to go all *coughobviousreferencecough* with le device, or...heck, even if we're not, then I demand that it resemble a laptop computer in some form or another. But right now, perhaps a techno-staff would do fine?

I have no idea what to name it or how it should work though :P

(Its more of a 'I can't figure out how physics would work as a magic yet, so lets just go with lasers for now' thing than a reference, otherwise I'd have just left the device in some part of the world to find later. And lasers work best with some to shoot from. Feel free to suggest something besides that, or I'll think of some other way to use it eventually.
Anyway, back to the actual game.)

You tinker with the Device,  while walking southward, and eventually stumble into a crater. There looks like some kind of failed tinkerer's invention in the bottom, or whats left of it anyway. Continuing down the crater, you find a couple more bits of it, or of them, theres really not enough to tell if it was multiple contraptions or just one.

The forests continues to the east/west, but you're quite a distance from Northernlands College, only the towers are visible. South continues to be plains-ish.

'Name Confirmed' appears across the screen of Laptop Fortis, while you collect the junk (could be useful for physics later) and continue southward, eventually ending up at the not-exactly-known town of Pot, being rather unknown more due to its Northernliness than anything else, the Pots from Pot tend to be superior than other towns' pots, except in durability.

There is a brown-haired woman wielding a golden bident in an outfit that stands out rather obviously in comparison to the residents of Pot arguing with someone down the main road, otherwise theres not much of note here. The Sturdy Rhino tavern is off to the left, the main road is otherwise full of assorted stores, and an inn with a pot symbol. The sign is too far to read from here.

Buy a pot of pot from Pot for the novelty value and use it for target practice with your lasers. Then go talk to the bident lady

One of the Potters in Pot is annoyed at your lack of proper money.
The Alchemist of Pot refuses to give away his flora without a better reason.

You continue to be lacking in pots, pot, or pots of pot. The woman continues to argue, though it seems to have attracted a bit more attention now. A thief trips on his non-existent shoes and fails to steal any of your items when you weren't looking.

He ran off already, since theres occasionally a guard on the main road. You could try selling some of the scrap though, if you want a pot, a pot of pot, or just the money.

"Well, if you're still here to complain, then they weren't very successful. You should try the ones with less broken parts, then." says someone who looks like a tinkerer.

"I didn't want ones to stumble into every pebble and try to stab rocks, you had said they were actually good for training. Things that can't tell me apart from a rock aren't really worth getting again." says the bident lady. She turns around as soon as you walk over. "Well, I wasn't expecting another mage here, though i don't recognize you. You might want to pick a different shop, this'll take awhile." She then turns back around and continues to argue about the usability of the tinkerer's automatons. It seems like he'd pay the most for the scraps, and they could potentially be his. usually wizard staffs (if they bother to have one) are color coded though, and you didn't see any golden flashes of magic on your walk, just that one distant magenta explosion.

You hear someone shouting in pain as you walk into the tavern, but there doesn't seem to be anyone fighting yet, so you assume the tinkerer got smacked, or blasted, or something. The barkeeper accepts a bit of useful-looking (but technically broken) scrap in exchange for a drink. So, while you have ye drink, you look around the place.

Interesting people in the tavern:
A man, possibly a thief by the look of him, scared and sitting in a corner of the tavern. He's saying something but you can't hear it from here.
Several drunks singing.
A wizard, cooling his drink a couple chairs away from you.
An overly-shiny armored warrior. Far too fancy for this little town, or he hasn't had to fight anything in ages.
An archer attempting to be stealthy, and staring at someone who doesn't look particularly interesting.
Two women playing chess.
