As you walk over, one of them flips the table over, hitting you in the forehead with at least 3 pawns. Apparently it was a crushing defeat, and one of them walks off, tripping over the archer and making him hit a lamp instead of the guy he was aiming for.
"You better pay for that!" the barkeep shouts, while the woman gets up and continues stomping out of the tavern. The other woman picks up the table and asks if you're going to just stand there like an idiot or if you're going to give back the part of her chess set you're holding in your hands.

It is notably harder to see over there now.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Make a note to hire the one who walked off as a guard in case people start trying to assassinate you.

But right now, give the darn chess set back. Also be mildly annoyed and ask what the hell was so important about the game that tables were flipped :P

You give her the pawns back and ask.
"What did you expect, a dramatic reason? Its just drunk people being bad at chess against me, mhm."She says, as she wipes off the pieces and board and packs it together. She then also walks out, carefully stepping over the archer, who is holding his side still.

The roguish man is still sitting in the corner,  the (other) drunks are still singing, though the song has changed, and everyone else previously mentioned are also still here, except the wizard. His spot is empty, except for a tip.

The bartender shrugs.
"Pot is Pot. Nothing much of interest to you, unless you want to hear the assorted arguments of potters on how to pot. Try asking the rogueish guy, or Sir Shinesalot. They're not regulars as far as I remember."

That would probably get everyone's attention. Its too shiny compared to most of the objects in the tavern.

You walk up to the presumed knight. He shouts at you and passes out drunk, spilling whats left of his tankard. On closer inspection, the armor doesn't fit him very well and its polished badly but good enough to be the brightest object in the room. Might've been a good thing he didn't say anything, though you stick a tiny but radiant sensor on him, though whether it works or not is debateable. Slightly drunk magic isn't always reliable.

The Wizard is back, though stumbling a bit, through a large snowflake. The barkeep glares at him for throwing snow everywhere. Shall you talk to the rogue before doing something else, or go?

He keeps muttering "nononononononononononononononono" until he realizes you aren't who he was expecting. Then he talks less constantly, but more helpfully:
"Ohhhhh. Thought you were her for a second. Don't mess with the lady with the bident, miss mage. She looks like a typical, if oddly dressed, woman that I could possibly borrow something from, but I misstepped, and then suddenly there was this feeling of dread when she was smiling at me, and I do not have enough gold this week to drown out that memory. So I sit here, waiting for her to leave Pot." He then takes several breaths before continuing.

"Though if you'd give me something I could sell, I do have a scant few bits of information. Theres more than just pottery and that shiny red gem of hers in the bident to sell in this town, you know."

He mulls it over a bit, then eventually gets up, trades it for yet more beer, then comes back.

"The Mason's Guild will have a rep appear in a few days, they say. They also say they've expanded into ceramics now. Course, you still have those crazy rumored ninja cats in the warm lands ruining business for them too, so perhaps thats why."

While training your ability to laser distant objects outside of the Sturdy Rhino, the bident lady flies off from Pot, and you accidentally hit the Masons Guild rep in the eye while trying to figure out what kind of magic it is. Certainly was fast, either way. The rep stumbles into a potter's store holding his face and broken pottery ensues.
