Dwarf children: what jobs do they do?

With Dwarf Therapist there is an option to enable any labor on children (makes you a dirty cheater).  The only thing kids can do job-wise is harvest crops if your orders are set to allow anyone to harvest.  They will get a small amount of farming xp for this.

It seems to be something that is moddable however.  I recently noticed a child making stone crafts in my fort, was the first back after a long hiatus and I thought the rules had changed.  I guess its a feature of Masterwork DwarfFortress (child in question mooded to legendary and is almost always first to the workshop when a new order comes in.  I love the little bugger)

What jobs do they do? Drink up your booze and are generally an annoyance,especially if they die, causing REALLY bad moods.

Also good to sacrifice on a deconstructions that requires one because they're generally useless.

Nice, thinking of doing that in my new fort.  Got a couple blue peahens just for that purpose.

I think dwarven children haul. Also, they throw parties. And give bad thoughts on death. So...wait 11 years, or mod dwarven kids to be useful younger.

Children only haul if you are modding/cheating. Children can get a strange mood, normally. Even when the mood is over you will still have to wait til they are 12 before they can use their new skill. Normally.
