Back from watching for a moment!

Stream kept cutting out, so by the time it started descent I was nearly a minute behind. But it was worth it! So far as I can tell, a perfect landing.

We didn't have any peanuts, so I grabbed a jar of mixed nuts instead. Obviously, it worked well enough.

And now, back to watching the stream. Also, my conventional Aurora start began building it's first geosurvey ship, which will be named Curiosity in honor of the rover.

Assuming space agencies get the budgets they want and we don't plan to bring anyone back, the most optimistical prediction is somewhere around 2030-2050.
