I'm somewhat newbish. Only ever got one fort past a goblin invasion.
Never played with magma/minecarts/caverns though.

Any word on how this is going? IMO the best way to get more players for this would be to just start playing. The map and narrative will take care of the rest. We've got enough players interested that I think by the time the end of the turn list comes we'll have plenty more. Let's pick an embark and make it happen.

EDIT: Before anyone else calls it, I'd like to be dwarf'd as one of the miners, female or male doesn't matter.

People, If it makes you feel better, there are still some people that haven't moved towards minecarts. I've only just started, Though My plans are for expansion.

Good sirs, I would be quite happy to partake in this social experiment. I've played enough to where I know how to run some of the stuff (theoretically, maybe...I just made my first bar of soap and found it to be a huge accomplishment), nor have I played a succession game before.

However, would I be required to download DFHack to play, or would it work without it?

I'm relatively new to the game- I know some stuff, but have never pumped, minecarted, lava'd (well except that one time) or dealt with a siege. And, uh... I don't like to admit it, but I've never had a fort with a working farm. Too complicated. I trade for it, hunt, fish, gather etc. Anyone want seed biscuits?

That sounds like me, but farming is easy. You just tell the plot to grow things, make sure a dwarf will grow it, and bam. Mushrooms everywhere. So many barrels...

For egg production, just take a half-dozen turkeys. Their egg clutches can produce a frightening amount of food in short order, you'll be swimming in eggs before you know it.

Yep, #3 will be the one. Few trees will make it challenging, but the other was cold and near a necro tower. Also thank you all for joining! I will carry out my turn soonish (like in 5 minutes). And as for the thing where one irl week is a turn, I will change that so you can just upload when your turn is finished. Now to start playing! Oh yes, it should work without DFHack, though someone should correct me if I'm wrong. One last thing: I will use the LNP custom embark profile.
