Eh, I would have just made some sort of flying monster come out and kill him for his troubles... Because the role of the GM is essentially to make up reasons to clean up the players dickery.

Oh god. If he had done that, at least one of the other party members might have leapt into the chasm to battle the creature for the experience points XD

And it would have been totally worth it.

The sane boring ones, maybe.

Standard disclaimer about those rants describing some absolutely disgusting, horrific things.

Less stupid and more pisses me off, but . . . people who try to complain that you're doing both too much and too little of something. Usually they complain that you're doing something you weren't doing, and when you prove that you weren't they say you should do it.

Hawking radiation (which is light) escapes from black holes (though only through quantum shenanigans).

Hawking rad isn't light, it's particles.

:/ You're both correct. They're photon / anti-photon pairs. So it's light and particles at the same time. Specifically, Hawking Radiation is a type of Black-body radiation.

Aren't all particles also light? de Broglie's equation says that any object with mass and velocity has a wavelength, though it's really small for heavy objects. Mind you, I only took AP Physics B. X3 No Quantum Physics 101.
Still, the blackhole doesn't give of any light. It's created in a rather large sphere around it.

They're actually not heavy, either (on a stellar scale). They're actually less heavy than the star that they came from. They're just really, really, really dense.
Don't you mean mass? Because in terms of weight they kinda hold the crown.

I never mean weight.
Because weight is the effect of gravity on a mass; that makes them pretty damn weighted.
Able to pull in light and stuffs.

Meaning although they have less mass, they can be said to be heavier than the star they came from.

Smaller size, not less mass.

No, they have less mass; the process of turning into a black hole sheds some.

You mean when it goes supernova before collapsing?

Hypocritical cowards who are the first to shit all over christianity or judaism (for what I personally consider to be very valid reasons, being an atheist myself) defending islam and painting criticism of it as "islamophobia" and racism. Apparently some abrahamic religions are beyond criticism, because they are perceived as being from a different culture (i.e "brown people" cultures, conveniently ignoring that a sizeable portion of muslims are pretty much caucasian and as "white" as any european). Extreme leftwingers allied with religious nutbags? It's not the strangest political bedfellows ever...reminds me of the radical feminist alliance with christian nutbags in their crusades against pornography.
A recent example, courtesy of Glenn Greenwald (one of the most self-righteous and simultaneously ignorant political commentators I've come across) and Sam Harris: http://www.samharris.org/blog/item/dear-fellow-liberal2/

The comments.
Ahmed avoids answering a simple question for like twelve comments. CGW and Fred M are trying to make him give a straight answer and I think they partially succeeded.

Well shit. My family crossed the ultimate boundary of stupid. One believes the shard is the definite image of the tower of babel, the other believes that the devil controls the illuminati that controls the world and now both are reverberating shit and calling me narrow minded and offensive because I don't accept their beliefs.

I'm in a mix between laughing because of the irony (I used their proofs to prove I am Illuminati Satan) and pain because I am related to them.
It's not even the stupid beliefs that have me going. It's just the fact that they've done nothing hold hypocrisy high on a platinum pedestal.

"You can't prove demons don't exist!"
