We were talking about "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" in English class today.

One of the girls piped up towards the end of the talk when questions could be posed.

"So wait," says she, "the main character gets paid to kill cell phones?"

*class performs a mass facepalm*

The teacher then has to explain that the term android is, first and foremost, a term for robot/cyborg/however you want to define it, and is not simply a name for a brand of smart phone.

"Oh. Now it makes much more sense." says the girl.

I facepalmed so hard a piece of my soul died.

EDIT: woop! Hurray for interrupting forum discussions with completely unrelated stuff!
