I have no idea. Normally it's to see interesting sights, but aliens would have far more to see in the universe than Earth.

It's probably not that uncommon. And besides, any species as advanced as a lot of the 'species' mentioned by the whackjobs ancient astronaut 'theorists' seem so advanced that they'd probably be too busy making solar systems for the lulz if they actually existed.

I think you'd have to have a pretty perfect ratio of star size, moon size, distance the moon is from the planet, and distance the planet is from the sun. I really doubt it's common.

100-200 billion stars in our galaxy alone (Well, approximately). Multiply that by the metric fuckton of galaxies out there, and it's probably not that uncommon on a cosmic scale.
