And this forum being the leftist place it is, that "enemy" is generally conservatives.
Exactly!

Of course, there are plenty of moderates that see BOTH sides as drooling, retarded failures of evolution.

Well if you ask my opinion, while I respect Obama's authoritarian beliefs and regulations, I dislike how much money it is taking.  There is no long-term sustanibility to it... or is there?
We have an American Election thread in this forum if you want to discuss it. Should still be on the first page :)

GRAADAVARSAAAAAA!!!
It is CONGRESS that does most of the spending! All that the president REALLY gets to do is start and end wars. He gets to veto things as well. Congress needs to be wiped clean, though.

Well, there was this one time where my bro figured out that ones skin is waterproof. Now, this wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't 22 years old at the time. It was gloriously funny.

Also, i myself was once caught saying something along the lines of the following in relation to rum-n-coke's anti-septic qualities:
Quote
The bacteria that can't take the alcohol get killed by the acidity!
dammit tongue stop betraying me

Other than that, i've happily forgotten most of the rampant stupidity i was subjected to during elementary school.

She really wasn't kidding. I know because...

you could have at least mentioned to her that in Britain, they speak English. hell, England is IN Britain!
Her friend explained it to her as I was walking away, she was rather embarrassed, I don't think we ever spoke again.

There's nothing wrong with conservatives, to my mind. There is a real distinction between conservatism and the unholy alliance of half-baked theology and crony capitalism that is American conservatism, and the former I respect, while the latter needs to wither off the political stage.

Plenty of aspects of American conservatism are legitimate viewpoints when held by someone who isn't a hillbilly being told what to think.  You're thinking specifically of today's Republican party, a bizarre conglomeration of three inherently contradictory conservative viewpoints, which is why you get shit like "Keep the government out of my business except when it's legislating what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes" and "Keep the government small, except the impossibly huge military budget!"

EDIT:  Oh, contributions

"Keep the government out of my medicare"

"wheres the birth certifciet  where obama where"

"Dirty Consoles are ugly and last like Fords. PC's are all cute and pretty and crash and burn like Toyotas."

Chinese counterfeit eggs? Now there's an untapped market.
