Interesting how a lot of really big twits say "interesting" when they mean "stupid", as if obfuscating what they really mean makes them sound smarter.

And by interesting, I mean annoying as fuck.

"May you live in interesting times" will never sound the same to me again.

"He's an interesting person."
"That's an interesting career choice."
"I hope to discover something at least mildly interesting while on my studies of various interesting historical figures".

From now on I'm gonna include "interesting" in every sentence I say to people.

P.S. This probably means if someone ever told you did something "uniquely" or had a "unique" idea, there was some serious malice behind it.

"Interesting" is one of my go to words for when I don't know how to formulate a compliment about something yet I can't say anything negative.

"What did you think about that in-depth historical assignment requiring an 800 page essay detailing the mentality of Vlad the Impaler when compared to a cup of coffee that was 100% of your grade this semester and would make or break you in an instant?"

"Oh, it was interesting."

I think it's less about being a malicious backhanded comment and more about just not knowing what else to say. Heck, sometimes stuff might be geniunely interesting, y'know?

I too am an American. Curious that there are people from a large, populous, technologically advanced country on the internet in such quantities. I haven't seen anything from before this page though, so I have no idea what we were talking about.

Today, my friend got mad at me. I asked him a question, and IN THE MIDDLE OF ME SPEAKING, he interrupts and starts trying to tell me some shit about a game we were playing. I repeat my question, then again, louder, and finally one more time, completely drowning him out. He gets all defensive, but the fact of the matter is he does his little 'Oh that's nice but we should listen to me talk now' thing all the time. He has no right to be angry about it. Narcissistic people are a pet peeve of mine, I guess.
