I'd say there's a difference between "beliefs" and "delusional paranoia", but it's subjective of course.
There's many people in the world who have "beliefs" that are not worthy of respect. They themselves probably find some "beliefs" abhorrent. Asking for respect and tolerance of "beliefs" regardless of what they entail is ridiculous.
