Fun was had by all, except for the knight that couldn't hit anyone until his halfling companion got stabbed and he hulked the fuck out.  :P

@Doomblade - Others connected, so it has to be on your end. Try the firewall, and if the problem persists upon the morrow I'll try and work it out with you then. I'm a bit tired tonight, though.

@Valid Dark - It is definitely okay.

@Doomblade187 - 18:00 translates to 10:00 AM here on the west coast, which means that it's at 1:00 PM on the east coast. (I think.)

Kinds sad I missed that but then again I was making money like a responsible adult :U

Just be sure because I'm kind of dumb, 18 GMT is 12 hours and 40 minutes from the time of this post? Knowing me I'll probably mess it up somehow D:

Maybe Barb taught us a lesson. Honestly, we should have just taken turns sundering the damn shield, and trying to trip him. :P

Our strategy was too conservative, and we didn't take enough risks, so we got beat down. Lesson learned!

True. I should have backed off and used my whip. It worked pretty well the other times!

Squishy wizards don't make good punchmasters. I recommend a crossbow or a sling, for when you run out of spells.

Of course, when he finally DID hit, it was like a truck. Woulda knocked me out even if I weren't already wounded :P
Such is the way of 1st level rocket tag. Low levels are high lethality because even a +1 bonus is a signification portion of your health pool.

Actually, yes! The moral of the story is that while you usually don't want to sunder enemy equipment, as it lessens your loot for the future, it can be useful in order to survive. The same goes for any fight: the most optimal result isn't always possible, so go with the most effective. It doesn't matter if you get more loot if half the party died to get it. In other news, enemies with lots of armor rely heavily upon it for AC. (Note that almost every ranged touch attack spell hit.)

A reach weapon would actually have worked incredibly well, come to think of it. Though note that a whip deals no damage to anything with a bonus to AC from armor greater than +1. (Barbaros had +6 from his banded mail.)

Dual hand crossbow make for some epic times.

Damage would have been nice, but robbing you of your weapon or knocking you prone might have done more good in the long run. Just need some sort of feat for quickly changing weapons, or improved two-weapon fighting to reduce the ridiculous attack penalties for dual-wielding.

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Quick_Draw <--- is what you're looking for.

As for TWF, if you don't mind wielded both of the same light weapons, get Weapon focus for both of them. That helps.

Problem is, whips aren't light weapons. They count as them for the purpose of the Weapon Finesse feat though. Weapon focus might help.
