Er, what's LA?

It stands for Level Adjustment. Basically, it's levels that don't do anything.

For example, Catfolk have +1 LA. This means that a Catfolk Scout would be considered level two for the purposes of gaining experience and leveling up, one level higher than it actually is. It's a mechanism to compensate for the bonuses that the race gives to keep the player from being more powerful than his compatriots.

Which is why it actually puts you at a disadvantage in the long run, as you'll have 14 levels to everyone's 15, and it gets more drastic with higher LAs.

Ah, that explains it.

Still though, even with some disadvantages in the long run, sounds like such an unusual character would be fun to play.

@Scelly: You get your internet issues fixed too?

@Araph: Bad Luck is no reason to throw down your char. When you were hitting, you were doing as much damage as I was. I suggest a better pog though :P That cat was obviously cursed.

@ValidDark: Sad to hear we didn't get a chance to play with you, friend.

Here is the link to the map from yesterday, if you guys want to host on b87 and use it. The b86 map can be used in b87 as well.

(As noted before, I can't host on Sundays due to my meatspace game.)

Yeah, should be good for this session. However the pack is still not downloaded so your going to have to make due with some drawn maps.

I have family visiting... But DnD kinda takes predecence, no? :))
I'll see what I can do, anyways. Might have to go AFK a leetle.

Edit: Well, I'm glad I got to play before the session ended!
Also, flail-sticks became a very... Literal name.

By the way, ye of the swashbuckling type: You might try taking a level of Rogue to get a sneak attack bonus and then taking Daring Outlaw to stack swashbuckler with rogue to determine sneak attack power. With Rogue 1 and Swashbuckler 4, you get +3d6 sneak attack as if you were a 5th level rogue. It's handy.
