Adventure Mode: Bronze Collossus
« on: July 29, 2012, 08:51:36 am »

I've modded my game to allow me to be a Bronze Collossus outsider (just to kinda mess around :P) I was wondering about the inventory system. So far I can only equip things in my left and right hand, so I'm unable to have a backpack on my back to carry excess inventory (I don't care for armor being made of bronze and all) to make him able to have things on my back legs etc. would I just add

Your collussus needs to have [EQUIPS] tag to wear things.

Thank you very very much! I was trying to find what I needed to put!
Do I just need to put that or is there any more?

Edit: I tried adding the [EQUIPS] tag and when I regenned a world and jumped in it still only let me have a left and right hand to hold stuff, it doesn't even show the other body parts.

Do you have any ideas how to change it so I can wear human clothing?

Either make its [BODYSIZE] similar to a human, or make a human's [BODYSIZE) similar to a Bronze Colossus. Or a average of the two or something like that.

The average of the two would still be waaay too big; you want the same size.

So I could also just copy the creature_standard of the clossus and create a second one just for adventure mode (and change its size) then put it in the entity file?
Also when I was playing as a bronze colossus I was injured by a few crossbow bolts (because crossbowmen are secretly carrying railguns) and the wound never healed. How could I change it so when I get hurt I'll eventually heal?

Edit: With the equip problems, I'm worried changing the size won't change how when I look at my inventory or anywhere to equip it doesn't even show legs, arms, chest, etc. it only shows the left and right hands, that worries me that I can't even equip anything on a bronze colossus...how would I go about changing that? (sorry I'm so asking :P) the other issue is I don't know if the colossus can skill up AND it doesn't give all of the options to add points to such as using swords and armor.

You want to select all the tissues and add a TL_HEALING_RATE.

Also, yeah, that'll work.

You may want to remove the megabeast bits. (Difficulty, attack trigger, MEGABEAST, biomes)

Other than that, yeah.

Will this also allow the species to level up skills throughout play? I've tried testing already it still cannot use sword, shield, or armor skills...a few others too!

I feel like I'm going to have to make a lot more changes or add things from races like humans to allow them to use everything listed above...the skills for them too but I'm not sure :P

It needs [INTELLIGENT] or [CAN_LEARN] to use skills.
