So in terms of combat, what do you guys think would look/function best with this set-up? A seperate, enlarged combat grid like before? Placing the Zones on the map itself? I'm debating it.

I lean in favor of the separate, enlarged grid.

Separate, enlarged grid I say. Though if that's too much work for you, there's always the option "whichever is easier".

I'll add a third vote for the separate enlarged grid, but I'm good with either really.

Sounds good, thanks for the input. Probably easier anyway now that the island is "visually" smaller.

I think it hasn't lost anything with the new art style. Everything you need to see is still perfectly there.

If you're going to port your new art style onto the seperate enlarged grid, go ahead.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Guess what time it is??? That's right. It's time for the monthly revival of ACoS!

Also looking into a simpler character art style to go with the simpler map art style.

EDIT: It is also worth pasting this chatlog

[20:08] <freeformschooler> so like
[20:08] <freeformschooler> i think what i want to run isn't ACoS
[20:09] <freeformschooler> just a game with the format of ACoS
[20:09] <freeformschooler> and all the elements
[20:09] <freeformschooler> that somehow doesnt also take 4 hrs per update or more
[20:09] <freeformschooler> maybe that's impossible
[20:09] <adwarf> Its not :D

Not possible, or not impossible?

Not impossible. I also realize that updates are more interesting than getting everything to look and feel nice, but somehow it wouldn't seem right without the most elaborate parts of the game (illustrations and rulesets).
