Mana:
Many of the darosian scientists and magi did in the ages of past figure out that daros was in fact made out of a single form of energy, which they have dubbed universally "Mana". Yes, its a bit cliché, but don't tell the Darosians that, they don't know any better. It seems that at the bottom of everything, the ground source of all that is, is the clear form of Mana. So in essence, you can turn Mana into anything, if that is what you want to do! The problem is manufacturing this transformation without giving the mana "taint". As mana is lead through transformation processes, parts of it grows used and stagnant, due to being tampered with in general. the taint is a natural thing that happens to Mana when it is being used. If a fire magi uses the mana to make a fireball, obviously it would have learned the basic routines of minimalizing the taint in the Mana input in comparison to the spell output! This is why learning magick can be so dangerous, because you could by mistake cause the mana to taint up to 100%, at least without guidance on how to do it properly, and all disciplines of magick have different ways of guiding the Mana. But in essence, Mana is Daros. Little known fact: Stars are actually gigantic Explosion Magick spells, churning along with an incredible amount of Mana clouds which is kept together due to mass! Stars naturally bombard different planets and worlds with the mana from the explosion, using only a minimal amount for its own combustion.

BONUS: The sky in Acos:
The sky in Acos isn't actually how the normal sky is to the world of Daros, but rather a fabricated one. More can not be revealed about it now.

What I really wanna know about is Daros' life forms. What are they made of and where did they come from?

This shows clearly what sorts of creatures there are in the world of Daros. Above all are the Darosian gods, who none of the regular mortals really know of. The mortals have their own religions, with reflections of these gods acting as what they pray to and praise. Sometimes the gods recieve this prayer, but mostly the gods do what they have to do and ignores the mortals.

Between the mortals there are 3 types:
Sentients: Creatures who are self aware and smart enough to develope language and other such fun things.
Creatures: Beasts of instinct who just loiter about in the evolutionary stage they happen to find themselves in.
Monsters: Monsters mimic the other two, creating either Sentients or Creatures. The difference is that monsters do not have souls.

In Daros, souls are a very real thing, and is another way for the universe to see itself. The Universe itself has a soul and a body, though which one is which is hard for mortal kin to figure out. The wizards seem to know that there is a soul and a body though.

Lastly, there are the horrors, creatures not normal to the world of Daros. These could be horrible abominations, creeping in from the multiverse to feed on the mortal kin of Daros, they could be random stranded people who got sucked into the multiverse and spat into daros, or even other odd things. If it doesn't fit the other four groups, it belongs here. The one thing they all share in the horror group, is that the universe wants them dead.

Quite recently we (Cora, nickolai, bowser, and reggie) were forced to 'sacrifice' two things to the enemy, we chose honor and reason, effectively giving them a soul, (maybe?)

Interesting lore note that Dex might cover anyway: our heroes are actually closest to the definition of "horrors". Since we're outsiders, we don't have (at least for now) "affinities" like all characters in Dex's universe proper have, and thus we don't exist on this plane as "real" lifeforms.
