"Bah! Take this!"
Whallop droplet.
Whallop droplet/droplet defense (1d6-1=5, 1d6=1)You whallop the droplet into next week despite your prone position. Or perhaps you whallop it into last week. As long it's gone, that's good enough.
((As Baradine shall be busy, he has entrusted IronyOwl and me to use his character.))
Baradine shall -begin to scorch the slime he is facing- using fire magic!
Rorrim shall knock that shelf down, hoping to find the book underneath the mound of other books. If not, he finds another related book on monsters and their relation on this place. Or something on the history that the strange cadaver-woman told him before.
Scorch slime/slime defense (1d6+1=6, 1d6=3)Baradine takes careful aim and shoots a firebolt at the pudding before him (4 damage, 1 ap used), then shouts and drops his sword which has begun to glow, apparently being heated by the firebolt as well (1 damage).
Topple the shelf (1d6=1)You try to topple the shelf, confident that you would find the book, since all of the shelves are mostly empty. You push, shove, and pull, until the shelf finally falls... into your direction. (
Shelf vs Rorrim (1d6=6, 1d6=3)) You react far too slow to avoid being hit (2 crushing), and the shelf crashes into the next ones, which fall as well... and through a strange twist of fate one of these shelves stands near the door to the circular room, where Rorgrin and the ooze battle. (
Shelf vs Rorgrin (1d6=4, 1d6=4)) Rorgrin rolls out of the way. (
Shelf vs Pudding (1d6=5, 1d6=1)) The pudding is hit squarely (2 damage), and ejected out of the door, which is now blocked by a bit of debris. Which means that Zalgus and Baradine are alone out there with two slimes now.
ATTACK THE IMPUDENT FILTH WITH THE HALF-BRICK AGAIN.
Looks like you're fresh out of impudent filth. You keep the half-brick handy however, just in case.
The first slime, sliced up, dented, and burned as it is, attempts to attack Baradine. (
Pudding vs Baradine (1d6-1=3, 1d6=6)) While the attack is clumsy, it causes Baradine to jump away from both the pudding and his sword.
The second slime single-mindedly tries to push away the debris at the door (
Push away the debris (1d6=3)). It fails.

"Not sure where our little band of followers got to. Oh well."
Trael picked a direction and pushed on, unperturbed, still holding his sword readily by his side.
>Go right. Examine the corridoor, how wide is it, etc?
"They're probably busy hugging the puddings."
Examine the corridor (1d6=5) Four feet wide, nine feet high, a few iron mountings for torches, and going far too long without a door for your tastes. It's the quintessential boring corridor, to be honest. You finally get to a door. Stone, once more, with an engraving of... you're not really sure. A huge tower? With a deep underground? And... something in those depths? Yeah, that must be it.
