Don't we need one more person before we enter scary-ruins-likely-filled-with-scary-beasties?

You have arrived. Well, mostly - you're at the base of the mountains in which the keep is, but it can't be more than two or three days until you reach it. Locals call it the Keep of Bloodstained Dreams, a grandiose name for what is likely to be little more than an abandoned ruin. Some say it used to be a temple to an evil god. Others claim it used to be the headquarters of a deranged cult obsessed with blood. Or ashes. Or what else deranged cultist may end up being obsessed with. Whatever the truth is, no one has dared to set foot into the keep for decades at least, making it a prime target for the five of you - Zalgus, the Sage, Rorgrin the Calm, Trael the Driven, Rorrim the Warrior, and Baradine the Spellblade. Most of you have found together only through circumstance, or perhaps destiny, but at least right now, you feel that strength lies in numbers.
The path in front of you is clear, an inscribed stone standing nearby. A quick look at the slab reveals that it is heavily withered, but it seems to read
"To the victims of the keep". There is date telling how old the stone is, or mention how the supposed victims were killed, not even their names or the names of those who put up the stone.

OOC: This game reminds me a more well thought out version of my dead Fortress of Bones.

Posting to watch!

Trael trails the fingers of one bony hand across the lettering on the slab as he passes it, eyes on the path ahead.
"Here. We are almost there. Almosst..." The dead voice rasped unnatturally from beneath the cloak, cutting through the still air for the first time in quite a while. His-- Or its- steps are monotonous and regular, and an old, battle-scarred greatsword rests on his opposite shoulder.

"Almost there now, Larry. Don't you fret." He mumbles on more quietly, seemingly to himself as he leads the way up the path.

>Onwards.

((Edit: Ha, I didn't actually notice the "Trael trails" bit til after I posted. :P))

Into the keep! But check for traps, I don't want to die this early.  Bad Idea.  Knowing RTD's, checking for traps would simply create something that wasn't there before.  Still, be generally cautious.

Lead the way into the keep, examine the surroundings and the detail of the innards of the keep, and examine the air along the way.

Listen to allies if they would wish to tell what is on that slab.

Admire the sunlight for, perhaps, one last time.

Yeah, It's a slab. Local rock, probably small enough to be carried by one person.
You continue onward!

>Onwards.
You continue onwards.

You cautiously continue onward.

Inspect the slab for anything unusual...

The words appear to have been chiseled into the stone in quite a hurry, and it stands quite comfortably on the ground. Actually, the ground could be dug if one wanted. Perhaps the slab is an ancient grave marker?

Lead the way into the keep, examine the surroundings and the detail of the innards of the keep, and examine the air along the way.

Listen to allies if they would wish to tell what is on that slab.

Admire the sunlight for, perhaps, one last time.

You lead the way onwards, taking in your surroundings, the path that'll lead to the keep, the clean air, the shining sun, the pile of wood sitting on the narrowing path... Oh.

As Rorgrin examines the slab, the other adventurers take to the path towards the keep. It is Rorrim who first sees the obstacle coming up - a large pile of wood and some rocks blocking the narrowing path and parts of the moderate slope.

Take apart most of the movable items, clearing them to the side.

Begin taking some of the smaller wooden items - to be used as torches or as wood...supply, for later on.

And find something to be used as a whetstone from the rocks.

Trael pushed fowards along with his fleshy companion, pausing briefly at the pile of debris before beginning to clear a path.
Keeping the sword resting over one shoulder bone, with his free hand the skeletal warrior began digging his way through, almost impatiently if a skull could show any such expression. He (or it, we've been over this) had come this far and wasn't about to rest now.

>Dig a path wide enough for myself through the blockage. Onwards, ever onwards.

Examine barrier. Try to see who or what might have put it up, and more importantly, which side they did so from.
