In the meantime, Baradine gets Shield Expert, +1 damage to firebolt... and I'm still thinking on spells, but probably a Heat Weapon spell. If Baradine returns before I choose, he'll get proper choices, of course.))

Keep examining the layout of the room. Maybe it's trying to tell a story? Ranking them by power? A map to something or other?

Hm. Neither theory really seems to be it, really. It really seems that the layout is to hide the hidden stairs. However, you're sure now that the headless statue has been placed here later than the others. Maybe you should take a closer look... Huh. It uses illusions to display heads of people and creatures you defeated one way or another...

You follow Zalgus on his nondescend. Hey, this headless statue displays heads of things! Some you recognize as people you've defeated!

You wonder how you can encourage a skeleton that bearhugs a golden semi-arachnid that's bleeding black goo and routinely breaks reality with both of them suspended from the ceiling. Hang in there, perhaps? Your dreams really didn't do much to prepare you for a situation like this.

Bite/Defense (1d6=1, 1d6=6)
You try to bite the golden creature right in front of you, but loosen your grip in the process. At the same time, the gildengleam lowers itself in order to avoid attack, and in the ensuing chaos, you find yourself back on the ground.

Tiresome, the voice from before rises again, just like your master. Very well. The gildengleam alone likely won't be able to stop you, so I am recalling it.

With that, the gildengleam digs itself into the sand.

With the gildengleam battle over, Trael and Rorgrin now get to level up. Same procedure as before.

You descend. Looking around, you've ended up in a garden, however that is working in a subterranean tower. Well, it's really more of a jungle. A clear trail has been cut into the vegetation.

Baradine: Innovate and be creative in thinking. Memorize those thoughts and build up a workable spell!

Rorrim: Admire statue for a moment, inspect the feet. Then imagine the room from a bird's eye-view.

Follow it up with a high-five to Zalgus, which means follow him, bringing along Baradine!

Would it be cool if Baradine could... damn. He lost his train of thought, and then he is dragged away by Rorrim as well.

You and Baradine end up next to Zalgus in the jungle garden with a cut trail.

Head back, hoping to get a LIT TORCH on the way! If not: Inspect trees, inspect present of sunlight. Inspect ground flora and possibility of fauna.
