Turn --(20 next), Day 2, 4:23:15

: "Analyzing situation...Done. Activating memory core...Done. Loading custom explanation loadout #-1...Done....Time has stopped."

"...WHAT?"

: "Continuing custom explanation loadout #-1...Done. Time has completely stopped! The turns won't tick along before you press the clock again! Notice how that inner voice isn't narrating what's going on right now? Even that has stopped! Time is stopped!"

: "Ah, Cube. Have a question. Where might we find ammunition for our weapons? My Cancerous Bow needs arrows, and Dell's weapon needs... something."

: "Analyzing inquiry...Done. Activating memory core...Done. Loading custom explanation loadout #2256...Done. That, is a wonderful question. The problem is that I cannot answer that. Ammunition can be anywhere, some enemies might drop arrows too. You could try to make some though, if you manage to find some lumber! Maybe even try to find some straight branches to work with!"

"...Okay this is really weird. Boxface here didn't say anything or move at all, but the exchange still happened."

"...Yeah, we are doing what we normally would but, it feels, empty?

: "Scanning situation...Done. Yes. When time is stopped, everything feels weird and uncomfortable. You also cannot interact with things that takes time to interact with. It gives you time to prepare though, for what comes in the future. And frankly, you need all the time you can get."

(ACTION): Climb a tree to get into a decent sniping position if I can. Strategize.

Uh oh.

: "Alright, troops! You hear the Uniq, every second counts!"

Queen quickly scribbled some plans in the dirt.

: "Aidan, Bowser, REGIS: Prepare for front line battle. I can tell Kaina's headband makes you stronger, Aidan, so you're important right now! Dell: do whatever you can to assist us. Garek: play it safe for now, grab that last bow. We don't know your power yet. Cora: Join me in the trees, if you would. I'm going to prepare a sniping position for whatever's coming. Nikolai: If the new weapon is as powerful as we think, I need you to back the others up with it!"

: "Any questions? When everyone's ready, press the clock."

: "Any questions?"

"Yeah, two. First off, what's the problem? I don't see any enemies...  And second, if time is stopped, shouldn't we discuss this a bit more at length? Especially since, as you said, you don't know how to utilize my strengths?" The warrior puffed out his chest, smiling smugly to himself. "Just so you know, my area of expertise, as far as combat goes, is to crush monsters one by one. My technique utilizes, at preference, double scimitars, but I can work with any variety of one handed swords or axes."

: "I have a strong feeling this is the Flood. Last time we didn't have time to prepare, but our host was gracious. The next one might not be." Queen gestured to Bowser then looked back at Garek. "I know you want to show off your strength, but I'm not going to heal you if you die first. The others have proven more reliable so far. Besides, we can only fit so many in the melee zone."

"Gah. Fine, but can we at least see if we can create some swords first, just in case? I feel naked without Reasoned Debate and Calm Discussion." The mighty hero pouted.

Dell raises a statement. "If I may, I recognize that sandwich you got there. It's a... well, here I suppose it would count as a healing item. Brought my teams Heavy back from the brink of death to full fighting condition in less than three seconds more times than I can count. I think Bowser might make best use of it."

Dell suddenly looks hopeful "By the by, Did you manage to get that Iron ore I asked for?"

ACTION:Retrieve Iron ore.

ERECT DA' DISPENSAH!

"Thank ye kindly." Dell grins as he strolls toward the chest. "I believe now would be the time to say, 'Hey, watch this!!'."

(ACTION) Prepare for combat!(?) And stuff. Basically avoid getting into melee range this time if combat breaks out.

: "I guess there's no problem with that course of action. Still wondering how effective this thing will be, although I hope it is as good as a rocket launcher."

"QUEEN, BY 'YOU NEED ALL THE TIME YOU CAN GET,' I BELIEVE CUBE WAS TRYING TO MENTION A LONG TERM PROBLEM, NOT AN IMMEDIATE THREAT. YOU REFER TO TIME AS IF IT IS A LIMITED RESOURCE, CUBE. IS THIS TRUE? DO WE HAVE A TIME LIMIT IN THIS WORLD?"

REGIS looked at the unmoving landscape.

"ALSO, IF TIME HAS TRULY STOPPED FOR EVERYTHING EXCEPT US, IT WOULD BE SAFE TO EXPLORE THE ISLAND WITHOUT FEAR OF ENEMY ATTACK. IF THERE ARE MORE TREASURE BOXES HERE, IT WOULD BENEFIT US TO FIND THEM. ... ESPECIALLY IF WE HAPPEN TO FIND A MANA BATTERY. I'M, FOR LACK OF A BETTER TERM, FEELING HUNGRY."

Action: Grab the cancerous bow, and break some twigs off the trees when time is restored.

"Aye, time is limitless as of... 'now', well, really, now is what we have. An endless now, so anything we can do now, we should do now, but things we can't do now we should do later, but we don't have later, we only have now. So do things now. But not things later. Nor things that require a later, only a now. Man, temporal shenanigans are always tricky stuff, like, is this frozen time? Or are we on a separate plane, so that we exist on a different scale of time making things appear as if stopped... But the washed color just adds more confusion! Augh, I'll just go with plans already made..."

[Action:] Speak to Ding about your status screen.

"Actually, come to think of it, there is something I might need to do right about now." Garek made his way to the Bell of Heroes. "Hey, Ding, right? Do you need to re-scan me, or are we good to go for skills and whatnot?"
