We have to work together for who knows how long in this god forsaken place, and I can't afford you splitting up the team and angering the healers." Bowser said. "Now, whatever sarcastic response or rejection of authority you probably want to spout off, I don't want to hear it. Lay off the queen, or I'm going to cram you back into the Grim Chest.

Nik was apparently too busy giggling and walking away from the King and back towards the surface to even listen to Bowser. Alternatively, he heard the koopa's warnings and simply ignored them as per his usual jackass behavior.

Noticing the others' shift in attitude, Aidan chose to ask the question.

"It seems we've to pull back and recover. Can anyone help me push the levers back to their positions, so that whatever down these steps can't come back?"

He let go of Sadie's hand as he moved back to turn the lever. Then to possibly go on the return path...following Nikolai's directions as he didn't know where the location of the exit was.

No matter how exact Cora seemed to be.

Turn 14, Dungeon




The dark void within grows stronger.

Aidan tries to turn the levers back up, but they simply refuse to budge now. Stupid ingenious dungeon engineering!

The rest simply decided it was time to leave this dank hole, as the mood settled on returning back to the surface. They were all too bogged down with Tones and feelings of thirst to go on.



Trekking backwards, REGIS notices something perculiar.

: "THE DOORSUN! IT'S GONE!"

Confused, the group decides to just press onwards.



They all come to the machinery and escape room. After reading the plaque, they decide to spread out a little and ponder the two rooms before heading back out.

Oddly, there was a sort of calm stride walking back. There was almost no sound, even the footsteps seemed more silent. Whenever someone spoke, the words rung in the air, like noise itself was disturbing the peace of these searched rooms.

Cora looks at the machine with the 'buttons' and gets a thoughtful expression on her face.

"Maybe... just maybe, that 'map' we found wasn't actually a map... but a blueprint."

Touch/press/highlight the 'buttons' in the same pattern as the 'map'.

"Man, I'm so thirsty I'd drink goblin wine... but I'd really prefer a nice dwarven lager..."

: "Ah, REGIS. Worth saying we should head through the teleportation device. Tell Aidan to search for water once we're out."

Nikolai was showing a remarkable good mood as he followed the team.

Hearing Cora's words, REGIS scanned the map from his memory.

"YOUSE MAY BE ONS TO SOMETHINGS, CORASUN. AFTERS WHAT BOWSERSUN SAIDS, REGGIE THOUGHT THERE WAS SOMETHINGS MORE TO THE MAPS AS WELL. THAT MIGHTUN BE IT."

: "Ah, REGIS. Worth saying we should head through the teleportation device. Tell Aidan to search for water once we're out."

[OF COURSE, MI'LADY. I'LL LET THEM KNOW. I STILL THINK IT'D BE GOOD FOR YOU TO STAY HIDDEN FOR A BIT, SINCE THE CRETIN IS RIGHT BEHIND ME, AND I FEAR HE MAY TRIGGER A RELAPSE.]

"OI, YOUSE GUYS. QUEENSUN SAYS WE'S SHOULD HEADUN OUTS THROUGH THE TELEPORTERS ONCEUN WE'RE READY TO GO." He turned to Aidan. "ONCEUN WE'S GETS OUT OF HERES, YOUSE NEEDUNS TO LOOKUN FOR WATER."

"I wonder if those tones are considered fragile?"

Aidan peered into the exit pipe.

"Let's just hope the return trip lands us...in a watersource. Some of you are looking worse than parched."

"Dammit! Pay attention to me when I'm ranting at you!" Bowser shouted, quite annoyed at his lecture being brushed off or missed altogether. "I swear, I wish I could get some proper troops here. Ignoring the rants of the king? What is this place coming to?" Bowser wanted to ramble on further on the subject of insolence and such, but a biting thirst in his belly convinced him that there were more important things to bother with. He just lumbered up to the transporter, and read over the plaque.

"The items will break, huh? We don't really have anything breakable. These tones look sturdy. No matter. We don't have a choice. We gotta get out of here, before we die of thirst," Bowser said.

Turn 15, Dungeon




Cora and Dell check up on the machine as everyone else is in the evacuation room.

Suddenly, the display lights up with a clear image and name of an item! How perculiar!



Meanwhile, Aidan is trying out the pedestal, for good measure.

He can feel an incredible energy surfacing! It is coursing through him, filling him to the BRIM WITH UNIMAGINABLE POWER!! YES!! THIS IS WONDERFU-



...And a giant fist shoots out of the pedestal, smashing Aidan skywards, much to the surprise of everyone.



Beaten and kind of sickly, Aidan flies out of the Dungeon entrance! But he keeps going for quite the distance...



And catches a glimpse of something quite large.



He then smashes unceremoniously back down, taking 2 damage and leaving him with 1 HP left. He feels quite broken right about now.

Dell blinks. "Well then. Nik, you're up next."

REGIS couldn't help but snicker. Maybe that would teach the elf to be a little more cautious in the future.

"YEP YEP. YOUSE NEXT, NIKKI."

[TAKE A LOOK OUT THROUGH THE HOLE IN MY CHEST. THIS IS GOING TO BE HILARIOUS.]

Nik was in too much of a good mood and since everyone was getting punched anyway, it didn't make any sense postponing it. That and it actually seemed fun, like the violent version of an amusement park attraction.
: "Sure, why not?" he asked with a smile. "Nik, AWAY!"
