Well, at least Sadie will have something steady to hold on if something bad happens. I just hope I can take it-

The halfling looked dehydrated, or near it. So did Queen...Aidan wasn't sure about the others though, but if they headed back now, then it would split the whole party.

"As these are stairs, tell you what. Why don't you all wait back up at the top of this thing while we scout this out - staying still won't accelerate somebody's metabolism or hydration rate, I bet.

"Certainly something beastuous, for those grumbles don't sound intellectual to me. Though whether they roam freely below, or are somehow retained from movement, who knows. But I can tell that something seems to have broken from us pulling both levers at the same time... or shifted something... possibly opened another door? It's hard to tell, a lot of things make that same noise, could just be a soundbox imitating it... or some sort of prestidigitation..."

Dell peered at the staircase, and then at his once again yapping teammates. He sighed to himself. He never had to deal with this back at RED. Aside from minimal background chatter, it was mostly just *Place teleporter, place dispenser, place other machines, murder tens of men, get exploded.* and repeat. Possibly with a side of *Murder endless waves of robots, maybe a giant headless horseman or flying eyeball.*

He checked his ammo and then headed downstairs. Sometimes you just had to get on with it.

Sadie look around melodramatically, settling on Cora.
