"Can anyone who can, carry the rest of the tones and other items we're filled with? Usually, we'd have backpacks for these, but I loathe a scene where we leave any item with the potential to aid us."

He moved over to Queen's side, somehow farther away from Nikolai after their talk.

"I'll check on the yellow door, if you please."

Aidan takes the Cancerous Bow from Cube and applies Truesight to it.

If possible, examine the huge hole in the wall that...doesn't seem like it's filled with gears. An expanse of blackness, maybe?

And as an additional action, head back and scout out the yellow room, if possible!

"I'll check on the yellow door, if you please."

These words made the metal man cringe. The elf certainly wasn't the sharpest blade in the armory, but was he seriously this SUICIDALLY stupid? Queen just said that whatever was on the other side of that door should NOT exist, and yet, it does. There was only one thing that things like that had in common... no wait, two things. One, they are always ridiculously powerful, because you kinda have to be to defy the laws of the universe, and two, they were almost always terrifying beyond all belief. Judging from Queen's reaction after she came out of that room, the second one was true at the very least. Before Aidan could move away to his certain death, REGIS grabbed him by the back of his collar and lifted him harmlessly in the air.
"OH NO. NO NO NO. NONONONONONONOPE. DIDN'T YOUSE LISTENS TO QUEENS? DAT DOOR IS BADS NEWS. REGGIE WOULDS HAVE THOUGHTS THOSE POINTY EARSUN WOULD BE GOODS FOR DA HEARUN." He set the elf down when he was certain Aidan would at least listen. "RIGHTS NOW, WE'RE IN A DANGEROUSUN PLACE, AND AS SOONS AS WE WANDERS OFF ON OUR OWNS, WE'RE GOINGS TO DIE. RIGHTS NOW, WE'S DON'TS KNOW WHAT'S BEHINDUN THAT DOOR, MUCH LESSUN IFFUN WE'S CAN FIGHTS IT. FOR NOWS, REGGIE SAYS THE DOORS STAYS SHUT." He paused for a moment. "BUT REGGIE CAN'TS FORCEUN YOUSE TO DO ANYTHINGS. IFFUN YOUSE WANTS TO GO SACRIFICUN YOUSESELF TO THE GODS OF BAD DECISIONS, REGGIE WON'T STOPUN YOUSE."

Sadie tried to intervene.

"Reggie makes a good point! Queen Zelda didn't like what was behind that door-and I don't think you will either! It's very dangerous to go alone...especially with...whatever those things were. They will be expecting us now, as well.

...I don't think I could stand to lose you, Aidan. It would break my heart, metaphorically speaking. I don't want to be alone again,

Please don't do this. If we have to, we'll all go through the door together-but not alone...not alone."

"Alright, alright. I've made a stupid decision," Aidan said, knowing that Reggie was just holding back. "I-..."

He trailed off, glancing around. He didn't know what made him decide going to the door was a good idea -- perhaps the thrill of the unknown or just another thought that would've gotten him killed.

Instead, he shifted a bit to the right and pointed to the far side of the room to subtly change the topic after mentally facepalming at himself for the second time.

"What are those two white things? Torches? Levers?"

"Well, from basic observation, though I do have a point or two dungeoneering, they are quite obviously levers, for nothing here has skulls with which to mount on a wall and be decorational... though there is no way to tell what in this world they do, who knows, could drop epic level loot... could drop epic level monsters... could simply open a path to lead onwards... All we can do, is pull one."

"I'd do it, if my hands weren't full at the moment. Though it would be nice if I could find a knife somewhere to try to fletch arrows...without feathers. Hmm...

"Cora, what was that thing anyway? You spoke to it right? All I heard was something akin to a thousand scraping stones.

"It wasn't nice."

"Echm..."

"Ugh... Language barrier... the only thing worse is a cultural barrier...."

"No, not really any insight was gained, though at least the attempt was made, and nothing too bad came out of it, my hearing doesn't seem to be permanently damaged..... I'm not the only one hearing a bell toll am I?"

((I know that, Aidan knows that, it's the wording in the midst of a battle that skewed the understanding  :P))

"Well I'm glad that blue creature is gone. Couldn't stand it's noise

"...Didn't we leave Ding unpowered on the surface? I think I can hear it too."

"Isn't that aboveground? I don't think we can get back up as...well, the place lacked a stairway back, and the lack of a ladder. We still don't know what those levers do, as Cora sees it."

"I'd like to throw you out a lot of things, unfortunately, I don't have the strength for it, and man... for being a supposed bard, you don't have much meta-knowledge, were you still an 'apprentice'... when you were felled? Or did you somehow manage to not learn the most basic of bardic powers?"

"So says the one who hates elves.

"Look, I admit, my voice isn't as wonderful as yours Cora, and I'm currently lacking an instrument where I derive my powers. All else lies in singing the songs of my people, both in peace and war."

He decided to ignore her first statement and peruse what else she said.

"What is that supposed to mean, master bard?"

"What is that supposed to mean, master bard?"
"Hmm, that is true, without a... tuned... musical device a bard does lose some of their powers, as most of them have to be heard in order to have affect... But what I mean is that, through either being unobservant, or just unable to infer information from scarce hints of sometimes barely noticeable changes in a persons mood, stance, or tone... you seemingly can't learn about what can't usually be learned by ones self...

As for your plan of escape, a bard should know from Her Highness's and Nikkie's more relaxed nature about being underground, even though Nikkie... is Nikkie... that they found a safe passage out of here, that is still reachable from our current position, and while for you, it might be a little harder to discern it's exact location, I know that it's most likely a shaft similar to how we descended, approximately 6 rooms from our position.

...wait..."

"All else lies in singing the songs of my people, both in peace and war."
"..."
"singing the songs of my people"
"are you?"
"songs of my people"
"Please, sing us the songs of your people, so that we may bring this dungeon down around our... ears..."

"Could you sing a song for us, Aidan? I would like that.

Also, do not mind Coras passive aggressive attitude. Homo Sapiens Minimums (Halflings) are a very contentious people."
She said, matter of factly.

"I see your point." Aidan said flatly, insulted by the halfling's tone and gesture.

"Please, sing us the songs of your people, so that we may bring this dungeon down around our... ears..."

He restrained himself from acting in an unbecoming way, seeing the last statement as a joke, more over from what she had just said...

Wait, something about an exit? How did she even infer that?

"I'll sing when the rooms are not cloistered enough," he looked at Cora, "so the echoes won't mangle it.

"What are you talking about 'six rooms from our position' anyway?"
