"HMMM. SO'S YOUSE SAYING THAT YOUSE BUILDS THINGS DATS HELPUNS AND HEALUNS PEOPLES ON THE BATTLEFIELDS. THAT SOUNDUNS FINE BY REGGIE! REGGIE WAS BUILTUN TO PROTECTS AND HEALUNS PEOPLES, EVEN THOUGH RECENTLYS IT SEEMUNS LIKE SOMES PEOPLES WOULDUN RATHER THATS REGGIE NOTS DO HIS JOBS."

He fell silent for a moment.

Sadie walked up behind Reggie and patted him on the shoulder (?) comfortingly.

"I think you're doing an excellent job, Reggie."

Turn 9, Day 2, ???

Lift begins on the third wall.

Dell and Nikolai decide to follow each other as they walk towards the Bell of Heroes.

Cora, Bowser and Sadie gather around the mystery box to percieve its contents.

REGIS just kinda stands there.

Aidan converses with Cube who manifested to hand over the 1 Tone that Aidan owed.

: "Pleasure doing business with you sir!"

"Is there anything like paper or parchment around here that I could write on? I believe recording events for our own use or for future heroes would be beneficial."

: "Hohoho! Funny you should say that! I can see that the Voice Lords have granted you guys a boon! The box that appeared should contain what you desire!"

Queen is experimenting with the Duplicator.

: "Watch out Queen! Don't stick your hand in the item tray! The machine will devour you whole!"

Queen was clearly befuddled about this interface, as it seemed a little wonky. She tried to put the items in to preview, but she quickly regretted that as the two openings seemed to have a powerful suction force going on.

DoDo floated over to her.

: "There is nothing to be afraid of dear, you just cannot know what will pop out until you put in the items! If you want a rundown of how it works, here goes: You supply [ITEM1] in the Blueprint box, that's the left one. Then, the machine will show you in the center box what it would like to be able to duplicate [ITEM1]. We will call the item it asks for [ITEM2]. Now, you locate and put [ITEM2] into the right box, and presto, the machine starts working. It doesn't actually need Tones to run, the cost is the item it requests, namely [ITEM2]. When the machine is done working, it will spit out [ITEM3], which is the finished result. It will also spit out [ITEM1], as that was not used in the creation, just used as a blueprint for the new item."

: "Here's a little trick: If you get to the step where it asks for [ITEM2], and instead use a new item, namely [ITEM4], then it will still make a duplicate of the blueprint supplied by [ITEM1]. It might even be a better item, the item being made! Also one more thing, there are often more ways to make the item that you used as a blueprint, but the Duplicator will always ask for the most cost effective item."

After the lesson, Queen gathered up courage and deposited the Bloody Bandana in the left box.

The bandana was sucked in, and the machine did what DoDo just explained.

: "Another minor detail: If you want the item back with no duplication, just push the lefternmost button on the display down there."

The three opening the box popped the lid AND-

A giant bizarre crystal filled with gears that slowly tick away, while seeming connected with nothing but still floating pops out! Immediately, a voice starts ringing from inside of it:

"TIME STAMP S194D6T20C00000: OKAY LISTEN UP! this here is a Time Stamp Crystal! The reason they exist is because of temporal shenanigans! Something in the future sent it back to the past which sent it back to the future, so on and so forth and now it ended up here! In a few moments, it could be gone, or it could simply stay around for the rest of your session, we don't know! My name is Douglas, we just lost our session due to running out of hero lives! See that stone circle in the middle of your starting location? Don't let 8 people die! When someone dies one of the stone slabs turn dark. These are your chances, okay? DON'T. DIE. I am sorry, I'm in a hurry away from what just killed the rest of my party, an- KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRGHH!!! -GOTTA GO GOTTA GO gotta go gotta go gotta go gotta go..."

The message cut out, and the crystal slowly drifted along the ground, all that could be heard from it was the ticking of it's gears.

Something seemed to shoot out of the ground a little from Dell and Nikolai.

Nikolai walks over to the Bell of Heroes like the others did, which normally prompted Ding to appear.

After standing in silence for about a minute, no Ding appeared.

Maybe they should bring the cube closer.

: "Hm..." Nikolai said, noticing something near the trees. Looked like a bunker hatch or something similar. Anyway, he had to get his skill.

Drop tones and "Turret Control" in the Cube, carry the Cube towards the Bell and try again.

Dell stared blankly at her for a moment, slightly confused. "... Right. Well, it's nice to meet ya' Miss Amsel. Call me Dell. Where is this cube anyhow?"

He wasn't sure what she meant by 'Team Fortress Two'. But, he thought as he glanced upward, he had quite a lot of mysteries on his plate. It probably wasn't important in the long run.

: "My voice is usually enough to get people to identify me as a male, but I suppose re-spawning so many times after being toasted by Pyro and turned into mincemeat by Heavy probably damaged your brain beyond repair. Anyway, the Cube is with Bowser, the giant turtle over there."

Dell shrugged. "Sorry bout that. Heh, nah, the respawn don't mess with your mind any. Wouldn't be much good if it did. Thing is, when you spend a couple years with only nine other men fightin' the same battle every hour of every day, things get a bit muddled when you get on outside. Like walkin' into the sunlight after spendin' your life in a deep cave. Gimme a while to 'change gears' as it were."

Aquire cube, examine bell.

"I think you're doing an excellent job, Reggie."

"...THANKUNS, SADIES. IT FEELS GOODUN THAT SOMES PEOPLES APPRECIATES WHATS REGGIE DOES."

Like an electric spark, a thought crossed REGIS's mind.

"OI, CUBE. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCEUN BETWEENS A HORROR HEART ANDS A HERO HEART?" The golem turned to Queen. "WE'S MIGHTS NOT WANTS TO USE DAT HEARTS FOR DA CRAFTUNS UNTIL WE'S KNOWS WHAT ITS CAN DO. SPEAKUNS OF WHICH..."

REGIS stows the Grim Chest into the Cube, then brings the cube close enough to the bell so that Ding can activate.

"REGGIE'S JUST GONNAS BORROW THISUN FOR A BITS."

Sadie's stomach growled. Oh man! She had science to do!

Action: Go pick some Spirar fruit-try to 'Alchemize' two of them together. Or just ask an Uniq how it's supposed to work.

: "If close enough to my world's equivalent - certainly seems that way - I have a decent idea. One moment."

Queen put the bloody headband in the duplicator but used the Hero Heart as the material.

Upon seeing Sadie's request, Aidan thanked the merchant before quaffing down that plum juice in his inventory, handing over the paste to his Merfolk friend. "Enjoy, Sadie!"

Then, he grabbed that...chest, if it wasn't too heavy, the one that carried the Time Stamp Crystal -- now to temporarily be known as TICK to fit in with the other Uniq names, and carried it along with him. If possible.

He walked over to where Cube, Ding and many of the others were before requesting five tones from Cube and asking Ding to improve his...err, Constitution? That heart shaped thing in his 'status'.

He wondered why Dell wouldn't accept his bow, which was still in his hands. Perhaps this 'Gun' was a different weapon style used in his world?

The Elf blinked as he noticed something strange. "Does anyone have the feeling that we're not being watched? I saw several of those black creatures earlier, but they seem to have strangely disappeared once Tick -- the time crystal over there, appeared."

"Must be getting close to that time of day... the sky is always calmest before the storm... Or they just gave up, but I doubt that. Or maybe we just can't see them."
